Bush Gardens Las Angelas???

Really 'Moosh....I find that a little weird since BGT has been "The Dark Continent" and likewise BGW and "The Old Country". I remember the BGW name from at least 20 years ago, so I find it strange that the LA-area park would've been called simply BG....

On a side note, an OLD college friend lived in Van Nuys for awhile...then moved up into "the hills" when he said the neighborhood deteriorated badly...cool by me, the new place is about a half-hour from *The Mountain*

*shakes his head* CPNut's got a boyfriend now?

Isn't Van Nuys kind of a scary part of L.A.? Like one step up from Compton?

And isn't it hilarious how CP Silly is taking great pains to appear naive and innocent? "The Montu, yes, I think that's the name." LOL!!!11

Den - I lived in Van Nuys until recently. There are good parts and bad parts, but it ain't no Compton. The area I lived in was residential, with 1/2-acre lots and ranch-style homes. In fact the neighborhood is so nice studios do a lot of film work there.

Of course my Honda Accord was also stolen while I lived there but frankly that could have happened anywhere in LA.

OK, Moosh. I have friends who live in Woodland Hills, and they refused to drive through Van Nuys, but maybe they're just ignorant...

btw - I think I was the one to first use "tomfoolery" on this site, eh?

What Mamoosh said. I live right on the border between south Van Nuys & north Sherman Oaks. The majority of Van Nuys ain't half bad, it's mostly the area that runs right along Van Nuys Blvd. and such.

Where I live, despite being an apartment row, is actually pretty nice. Lots of parking (which is weird for LA, nice enough neighbors, etc.

However, we do have the claim to fame of being the porn capital of the world. Woot!

We had a Bush Gardens here in Houston too. Sound very similar except for no monorail. The last to go was the brewery tour and the bird show.

not trying to be rude tom, i know u were just stating a prefrence, but this is how i type on the net always, either on MSN messenger, or chatting, or here. sorry that it gets on ur nerves, but it's common for people to do it, and i guess it's something to have to live with, though it has nothing to do with miss-spelling or fast typing, just my way of typing(kinda like typed slang), and I was doing it on purpose(not 2 piss anybody off), so thats really not what was being discussed here. anywho...

So there was BGT, BGW, BGLA, and BGH, anymore? thanx guys!

You sold me. How soon can I move into the neighborhood?

and I was doing it on purpose(not 2 piss anybody off)

But it's exactly little things like typing "2" instead of "to" that seem meaningless. Did that one keystroke really save any time? Or isn't that the point?

I have to agree with Servo on the internet "slang" thing.

Obviously, no personal dislike comes from the whole "u", "thankx", or "2" thing, but at the same time, it does make it harder to read your posts. The point being, you may have a much harder time getting your point across if you use anything approaching 7337+ 5p34|<.

I realize it's common, yet somehow, it still seems to make any point the poster makes seem less important/worthy of paying attention to.

As for you, Lord Gonchar, you'd be amazed at the number of...well...adult emporiums that can be found on Van Nuys Blvd. That, and all the houses in my neighborhood that seem to be only used for filming the best movies that aren't on TV. We've got vacancies in my building, and it's a whole lot cheaper than LA proper ;)
