Busch Tampa flier sends callers to sex phone

Posted | Contributed by Jeff

Some Busch Gardens patrons got more than they bargained for this weekend when they called what they thought was the park's toll-free number and heard a recording for an X-rated service. The Tampa theme park inadvertently listed the wrong number in a marketing flier mailed to some former holders of its discount Fun Card last week.

I wonder is someone got fired over this. Lesson to everyone, make sure people proof read your work before making it pubic...er...I mean public.
Hi all,

>I wonder is someone got fired over this

Nope, management were probably satisified with giving the guilty employee a good seeing to.....er, I mean a good talking to!

You know, I've never seen the appeal of those kind of phone services. I mean, when you're hungry, you don't pop into KFC and ask them to read you the menu do you? :-)

Best,

B

Cue 'emotional/mental trauma' lawsuit in 3...2...

So what was the number they published then? ;) It's not for me, it's for a friend - honest...

I wonder if Ed Markey will be investigating excessive G-Forces in Tampa Bay anytime soon. ;-)
Tyler Durden would be proud, yet another fine example of project mayhem in action this week.
Giggity, Giggity, Gigg-it-tee!
TTDTom with a priceless reference. Markey was "on top" of things in Florida BTW.

Methinks someone had both numbers written down, and got them mixed up while smoking a *loosey* after dialing the phone sex line...all those 800 numbers look alike after a while...;)

Bob Fosse says: "Don't forget to ask about our Fun, Fun, FUN Card"....and All That Jazz...

Ya'll are sick. Like me...
Well after visiting the park, the park needs all the help they can get and if they have to resort to sending people to a "sex hotline," then so be it -- as the park itself is sure not going to bring in the people. Man with the exception of Montu that park was a real disappointment.

I wonder if Comedy Central's "Daily Show" will poke fun at this. :-)*** This post was edited by Dane186 3/17/2004 2:49:59 PM ***
