Busch Passes

I am going to Tampa next week. Since IAAPA will be in Orlando for the next 2-4 years, I probably will by the Season Pass at BGT. Question? It is such a bargain, being it is like $51 to get in, is the pass good at Sea World Orlando, Sea World San Diego, and Busch gardens Williamsburg, or just Bush Tampa?

No, BGT passes are only good at BGT, and they allow you to get a 50% discount on all other BEC parks. Now, if you haven't heard, BGW is now offering a "Platinum Pass" that is good for TWO FULL years and it includes free admission to each and every BEC park! The price on that pass is $199.99. Well, I can't find it, but that is exactly what I am looking for, since I am flying to San Diego next month and driving to the California Adventure. May as well see Sea World out there too. I guess they sell this at the gate. Thanks.

From what I found at the BGT web site, the 24-month pass is good only at the BEC parks in Florida, not elsewhere like BGW or SWSD. Likewise the BGW passes don't cover Florida or San Diego. Maybe someone can find something else that I missed?

WILLIAMSBURG, Va., January 18, 2001 - Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Water Country USA today announced its launched a new Platinum Passport for the 2001 season that includes an extraordinary benefit for guests travelling throughout the United States. The Platinum Passport includes unlimited free admission to any Anheuser-Busch Adventure Park, excluding Discovery Cove, for two years.

According to Busch Gardens Marketing Vice President John Gillespie, the new Platinum Passport delivers unbeatable benefits for value-conscious consumers. The passport includes unlimited admission for two years, free parking and discounts on merchandise and food at Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Water Country USA. In addition, unlimited free admission to the other Anheuser-Busch Adventure Parks is included. The Anheuser-Busch Adventure Parks include SeaWorld Adventure Parks in Orlando, San Diego and San Antonio; Busch Gardens in Tampa and Williamsburg; Sesame Place in Langhorne, Pa.; Adventure Island in Tampa; and Water Country USA in Williamsburg.

"In the past, our passports have included discounted admission at other Anheuser-Busch Adventure Parks, but never before in our history have we offered admission to eight theme parks for two years," Gillespie said. "This pass is about value and flexibility."

Platinum Passports can be purchased for $199.99 (adults) and $189.99 (children ages 3-6). Included in the purchase price is a 2001 Entertainment Book for the Richmond or Norfolk/Virginia Beach areas (while quantities last).
