Busch Gardens wants to move forward in building by far the tallest ride in the park’s history, but they need the green light. The James City County Board of Supervisors initially approved the project back in 2019, but the pandemic delayed any action. Now the board will meet again on Tuesday to vote to extend approval of the height waiver.

I know we don't deal with rumors a lot here on Casterbuzz, but...
I've been hearing on YouTube that BGW might be changing their plans for this new coaster in Drachen Fire's old spot to some kind of full circuit coaster. The old rumor was that it was going to be a launch coaster into a spike and backwards back into the station, but plans were changed. The new plans are for a first drop to go down into the ravine (near Verboltin's drop) which would give it the record for the tallest drop on a continuous circuit coaster.
Pantheon was supposed to go across the lake to the other side where Drachen Fire used to be, and then get launched back across. The pandemic turned that project into two coasters, Pantheon, and "Drachen Spire." Now, the park feels that "Drachen Spire" would be too similar to Panthoen, so plans are being changed.
This might not be the only new coaster coming to the park though. Rumor has it that another new coaster will open between (timewise) Pantheon and "Drachen Spire; a small indoor launch coaster to be placed inside DarKastle's building. It would open before "Drachen Spire."
Like Pantheon, both new coasters would be from Intamin.
I find it interesting, and the rumors are pretty solid.
