You know its a good park when the ticket lady gives you coupons for $24.00 off.

First off, I consider BGW the best in ride quality, food, cleanliness, ride ops, scenery, music, and just about any other thing I can think of. The only park that beats it in themeing is IOA. Imagine this, I didn’t see one piece of trash on the ground all day! Not even in the queue lines.

After drooling over Apollo’s Chariot from the parking lot, we went strait for it.

Apollo’s Chariot (4 laps):What a great ride. I really think the turn around is the best part. The entire ride from beginning to end, is unbelievably smooth. I’m not sure if I like the front or the back better, but I think the front had more airtime. The trains are interesting because your feet don’t actually touch the floor. :) :) :) :) :)

Big Bad Wolf (2 laps):Now I see what a true suspended coaster should be. The first part takes you on a quick run with great visuals. The second part drops you over the Rein River, and into a wickedly wild S-Turn. The very front is a must for BBW. :) :) :) :)

Alpengeist (2 laps):Ride it in the front seat, you won’t be disappointed. Alpie has some of the most creative themeing I’ve seen. In my opinion, Alpengeist is better than Raptor, Dueling Dragons, Top Gun (PGA), or Great Bear. I like it just as much as it’s little sister, Montu. :) :) :) :) :)

Loch Ness Monster (2 laps):The tunnel is definitely the best part of this ride. It was surprisingly long and fun. The second lift kind of annoys me though, a lot more than BBW’s. I don’t know why, it just seems to destroy the flow of the ride. :) :) :)

Wild Maus (1 lap):Heh, this was our longest wait in the park. Must be a popular ride. The turns at the top seem faster than Hershey’s Mouse, but the rest of the ride is braked a little hard. :) :)

We took the train around and saw poor Drachen Fyre sitting there. :( I certainly hope they do something with this coaster soon. They don’t even mention it on the train’s tour speech, but why would they

Then we rode Escape From Pompeii twice (its almost closing time now). The ride was good, but I thought it was going to be longer. Also, it seemed like one of the effects was missing at the very end.

We bought some Cotton Candy and dragged our soaked bodies to the car.

Souvenirs:BGW T-shirt and an Apollo’s Chariot on ride photo.

BGW is an amazing park. Don’t miss it.
Montu and Alpengeist are the best inverts around today.
i agree with TMTCC....ive never been on Montu, but i hear its pretty cool. i live 45 min from BGW, so ive lapped quite a few rides on Alpengeist!! it rocks!!

ROLLERCOASTERS....BETTER THAN OXYGEN BABY!!!!!!
Nice report. In one week I will be at BG baby! I can't wait. This report only fueled my excitement.
B&M should build a new inverted coaster that will break world records for an inverted coaster, and with good themeing.

Ill credit it to being your idea down here!
BGW is indeed one of the greatest parks, will enjoying the great coasters like Alpengeist, don't forget to enjoy the parks beauty, it adds to the parks atmosphere!

Inverted is best!
BGW is second to NONE! CP and SFWoA are my home parks, and BGW wins hands down. Very clean, and grafitti free, unlike SFWoA and very well themed unlike CP.

Scotty
Alpengeist WAY beats montu.

The only truly good roller coaster: Six Flags America's Superman Ride of Steel
