Busch Gardens Willamsburg Plans

I too have heard about the B&M floorless. I personally would rather have a B&M than a GCI woodie.

Complaints from the neighborhood? Who might that be? The wildlife?

I'm sorry, but I don't see anything about Drachen Fire on that site. I wish people would just let it die and go away.

Well after seeing it, I *cant* let it die and go away, not while it's still standing. I really *REALLY* would love to have a chance to ride it.

And I-Fan, I'm going to have to side with the others on this one. I think there is plenty of room for a cyclone styled woodie. Remember those pumkins you could see from the top of Apollo's? Or even the big (behind) graveyard? You could fit a good twister in there. Look at Hershey's Wildcat. It doesnt have *that* big of a footprint. I think it could be done fairly simply...

It won't though Jeff.  Drachenfire sitting there SBNO is great example of kinetic energy.  It's like a huge boulder teetering on a hillside with a village beneath.  As long as that boulder is there, people think of how devastating that boulder COULD be if it rolled down the hill.

I would love to see it running with lap bars, otherwise, end the agony and take it down.

I rode "X" and never went upside down.

I want to ride DF badly but I would just like to see them do something with it

at least we can agree on one thing, if they get a steel it will be B&M and if they get wood it will be GCI.

Raging Bull, Don't Fight It, Ride It

eh, I hope they reopen it now or tear it down and put upa nice woodie. I am sick of seeing it and not being able to ride it. do something!  also what would they need or want with a floorless they basically have that with apollo's chariot. you can argue that point but the effect is nearly the same effect you don;t even notice the floor once you;re seated sinceyour feet are so far off the ground. be cool to see B&M take a stab at a terain woodie. there are lot of places to snake a terian coaster though the park. like I said reopen df or tear it down and send it south of the boarder.

i heard that a woodie can't be built because of the noise. um, there's a 215 foot b&m hypercoaster across the park. if that doesn't generate enough noise, what does. heh, gci could always adopt the sand in the tracks method to help reduce noise like b&m. it's cool. :)

there is a lot of room for expansion...aside from extra room in the park, Anheuser Busch owns a lot of property behind the back of Ireland and Old France....personally, i think were going to see another B&M...but hopefully im wrong...after experiencing Lightning Racer this weekend (see trip reports...hersheypark ride for relief), i would LOVE to see somethin like that at BGW!!! :)
