The bummer is not being able to select your seats - Laser fans will understand.

I've never had this happen to me, but I suppose visiting in the offseason is the reason for that.

Another bit of advice is to grab a bite in the restaurant right neat Scorpion/Phoenix. I know it doesn't sound like culinary excellence, but that Turkey sandwich w/ potato salad is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of quality theme park food.

Anyone been on Gwazi since new trains that can tell us if the loading process has improved?

I will say that I have gotten multiple rides on Scorpion without getting off right at the beginning of the day. Last time this happened was a few years ago...in JUNE!

Most people pass it up heading to others. Good job getting a two day pass! You will need it that week.

Rode Gwazi Lion (once, ouch) on Sunday. With two trains running, the crew generally had the seatbelts checked at about the time the first train hit the brakes. Considering the same bad procedure, operations weren't quite as bad as Gwazi can be, but still not average-decent. *What* has happened to that poor ride? I always considered Roar West to be the bottom of the GCII barrel, but since (with?) the new trains, I think Gwazi surpasses it....it has gotten even worse, roughness-wise.

I've only been to BGT once since Gwazi got new trains, but it was off-peak season and they had walk ons with one train on each side. Loading speed was lethargic, but it was a slow day, so I gave it a pass. In my opinion the roughness wasn't too bad, not as bad as I remember the old trains being. Granted, when I rode the with the old trains, it was after a few visits to the now defunct Hospitality Center, so my memory might not be so good. :)
