Busch Gardens Tampa: A lot of questions

Well, for those of you who answered my questions about Vegas coasters, thanks. Turns out I'm not going there this year. Instead, my parents, grandparents, and I are going on a cruise out of Tampa, and my grandparents and I are going down a couple days early. This leaves enough time for us to get to BGT (after 4 years... I was supposed to go there in '98 before a cruise... stupid parents.)

Now for the questions
On the website, for December (so I assume it's like this for all months) it says "Weekdays and Sundays." Is Friday considered a weekday or a weekend there?
How are the lines generally on a Friday in January?
Is the river rapid ride worth a wait at all? I hear it's really short.
What is the maximum time you would wait for Python?
How many flat rides does the park have? I know they have a carousel, thats about it.
Lastly, how interesting are the animal attractions and King Tut's Tomb? Which ones should I make a point to see and not to see?

Thanks for the information. I'm really looking forward to this trip. Only exactly 2 months before I can ride Kumba! Oh yeah, I can add. I know I said 4 years ago for '98 because it was early in the year, so it's closer to 4 years than 3 years. Don't tell me I'm wrong about that part, because I'm not!

The lines will be very short for everything the last three weeks of Janurary on a weekday. Saturday and Sunday will be busier, but not too bad. But, go on a weekday. You'll have plenty of time to see the whole park. The animal exhibits are some of the best in the country; don't miss them.
The off -season in Florida is a great and beautiful thing. I go every year. Heck, I got air fare from Detroit to Orlando for $98 this year!

I went the day before IAAPA and found lines only for the B&M rides. I skipped Rhino Rally because I wanted to save something to see with my wife next year, but rest assured the animal attractions are tops. I love the white tigers! Read more from my TR.

Maximum wait for the Python?  ROFLMAO!  Man that is funny stuff...more likely, how many times would you like to ride before deciding to skip the bruising in favor of some nice cool Python Soft-Serve?  Yummy....Anyone driving on I-75, remember to stop in at Wild Adventures...Cheetah is great, and the park is open weekends year-round!  Seriously, there are no real wait times at BGT unless you go on a Saturday...as for flat rides, be sure and let me know if you can find any.  I count five, not counting transport rides, water rides, and kiddie rides - Chaos and flying swings are all I ask until we get our shiny new S:RoS clone;~)...

You're really not going to find any lines at BG, unless you go during the summer.  You should be able to go on everything multiple times with no problem.  Since the park is kind of spread out (animals, Gwazi, & Montu towards the front, everything else in back), what I usually do is head straight for Gwazi, then Montu, then hop on the train and ride it to the back section of the park.  You can always catch the animals on the way out.  I haven't been since Rhino Rally opened, so I can't tell you if it's any good, or what the lines are like.  I haven't heard anything great about it, and over the summer the lines got really long, partially due to breakdowns.  I wouldn't worry so much about the Python since it's an old corckscrew coaster.  Definately get some rides on the Scorpion.  It's short, but is a classic Schwartzkoph looper that is pretty intense!
