Busch Gardens Europe and Africa ?

I saw the adds on tv (I live in California, and I have never seen any BG commercails out here so it was a nice surprise) it seems as if they are trying to let everyone know without making a big deal about it, and it appears as if it will be an easy transition fo BG.
In the end I still think this renaming is going to fail, because people (a human is smart, people are stupid) are going to assume that BGA is not in Tampa but in Africa and BGE is in Europe not Williamsburg, they should really think about adding an adjetive to the name.

People may be dumb, but not that dumb. No one is going to see a billboard or commercial of BG(A/E) and think it is for a park across the pond. I think the change is subtle and sweet. It only reinforces their main themes.
I don't think it's a name change. Just marketing. Like, once there was a KFC comerical that stated

"Kitchen Fresh Chicken", now some people believe thats what KFC stands for.

They can't say Kentucky Fried Chicken anymore. I don't know why. But I do know that they can't do it. That could be why they come up with some other acronyms that begin with KFC.

Back on topic. While the Olde Country is a good name for a European theme park, I do not get why "the Dark Continent" is appropriate for an African theme. It seems rather degrading. People associate dark with bad. That is probably why they changed the name to begin with. I do like the idea of associating the theme with the name, and when I saw the commercial, it was very clear that BGE was in Williamsburg and BGA was in Tampa. I really do not think there will be confusion, but adding an adjective to the name would make it more appealing.

^^^Riiiight, that's why KFC refers to themselves as "Kentucky Fried Chicken" right in their own press releases. You have been fooled by internet based urban legends.

And Touchdown, I hope you were being sarcastic when you said people would be fooled. I admit, people are mostly dumb sheep at least 70% of the time, but come on. That's just ludicrous!

Anyway, I like the names, they are more descpritive.

PlaceHolder for Castor & Pollux

Certainly lays the groundwork for the theme at a new BG park. Busch Gardens Asia or Australia would be cool.

I heard Busch is buying up land in...(insert your town here).

:)

And you thought those rumors only worked for Disney... ;)

I saw a billboard near PKD that said, "Busch Gardens Europe." It's true indeed!
