You have two options here:
1. Perhaps you could open the instructions guide that came with the game. You will find your answer there.
or
2. Do a search as this has been discussed previously.

I'm pretty sure that is what was in the manual as well as about every discussion topic about this game for the last several weeks.
Hold Shift while you click.
I'm often surprised by the number of people that open the box and never even glance at the manual. Logically wouldn't that be the first place to look for an answer - especially one like this.

My question is how do you build supports over about 200 feet. For some reason, I can't really scroll up while holding shift making supports. Thus, I can't build them over a certain height. Even when I zoom out more, I cant move the supports up without scrolling, which moves the base square they are on. Any solutions?-----------------

That is a problem I have as well and I spend all day at work trying to think of a solution. When I get home to try the solution, it doesn't work. If I ever come up with one that works, I will share.
I was working on a 400 foot tall tera coaster. I had some trouble with the supports until I figured out the solution.
My solution is to change the resolution of the game under to options menu. I change it to the highest one possible. Then I will zoom out and select my square. Place the support in the square and hold shift and move up on the mouse (I got it go to 350 feet W/O raising land). If you need to go above 350 feet, raise the land up. When your done building the supports, change the resolution to the normal size you had it on.

Spryboy that works. What I tried from your suguestion is to hold CTRL down and move to the section I want it, then I held shift down to adjust the height and it worked perfectly. Thanks for your help. This sure beats using high resolution. I hope General Public find this easy.
