I have over 50 mechanics in my park and it seems to me that my rides are breaking down more. Also it takes FOREVER for someone to get there and fix them..even if I footpath each mechanic in a certain location, they still take forever getting to the ride.
How do I fix their problem..fire them all?
Also, I had 4 DIFFERENT coasters put in the same exact location and each one would crash..coincidental?
First off you should set each rides inspection time to every 10 minutes and then place a mechanic on patrol at the ride exit secondly if you are using a trainer activate the ride reliability feature so your rides won't break down
This won't actually prevent breakdowns but it does reduce the frequency of the period between breakdowns,it's really about the best you can do.

Yea what Batwing SFA Fan said. Just have each mechanic patrol one 4X4 block area at an exit of the coasters. Make sure the exit house and walk way are in both in the 4X4 block if ones out make it 2 patrol areas. I'm not 100% on that but better safe than soory peeps lives are at steak here! ;)
With the flat rides you can have them cover more of an area except the Ghost Train if you have drops and brakes there brakes fail just like the coasters.

Not really cause right now I have 3800 people in my park..but i am using an old trainer..I have the Swiss Army Knife one..I've grown acustomed to it so I won't use a different one..I tried The Beast trainer but I kept on getting a trapper error.
I have over 50 rides in my park..I am using a Mega park so I have a handyguy for every 2 or 3 paths..7 security guards and 50 mechanics..I was only able to go as high as 3999 guests though :(
What I also did was close my park..eliminate the peeps and the mechanics caught up but as soon as I opened the park again..crap started breaking and they fell behind.
I'll re-route their paths then but the trainer I use you can't do anything with ride breakdowns :(
