brighton pier (uk) on fire

remember that coaster a few months ago that was operated with a piece of track missing? that ride is on brighton pier. this pier is now burning down!!

as untrue as this may sound, this park isnt a maintence nightmare!! there is now a pinfari looper and a reverchon spinning mouse amongst other rides at the bottom of the english channel. i think a moment of silence is needed for these departed rides which have kept me entertained for many hours....

it's looking pretty serious from what I've seen on the news so far - not good news for Brighton Pier, especially after the West Pier collapse recently :(

edit- The Ghost Train was destroyed and there was some damage to other rides but the fire was brought under control pretty quickly. So much for that 'underwater spinning mouse experience then' ;)
