Man... from that pic it appears to be at least a partial derail. I'll hold speculation, but it doesn't look good.

thats for sure. im guessing someone died.
Let's not guess, let's know.

Dang. I hope no one is seriously hurt, and why is disneyland having all these problems with derailing coasters?
It looks to me like the rear of the train derailed right before a brake run.

new images are up.
Fox News Channel said that 2 trains collided.
Ah, that would be more explainable to me, then.

Where on the ride was it, the pics are too small to me? If it was at the end, I hope it was, then maybe they weren't going very fast.

P.S., not to make light of the situation, but 'Its an Intamin'... *** Edited 7/30/2005 3:18:39 AM UTC by TeknoScorpion***

LA Times Story

No serious injuries, no derailments. If you look closely on the picture posted on the NBC4 website, the back cars of the train are still on the track; there is just some dark-colored material behind them that makes it look as if the cars were facing sideways. Sounds like the ride pulled a Pepsi Max Big One on us...

Good, that link says no serious injuries, no derailment, just 2 trains collided, one was boarding, the other was ending the cycle.
thats good. i can sleep now, knowing that nothing is serious.
Ahh now I see... what looked like part of the last car was a ladder behind it.

Still, scary and unacceptable. It seems Disney had way less accidents on their coasters when they let employees instead of computers control dispatch.

Anyone know if Intamin provided the control system for Screamin?
