Brakes on The Beast...

From observations made on Thursday night, August 15:

Two magnetic brake calipers have been added near the top of the first drop.

Three magnetic brake calipers have been removed from the top of the second hill. The first caliper from the second hill has been removed from the track and is sitting on the right-hand walk-board. It seems a reasonable assumption that the two calipers now situated at the top of the first drop are in fact the two calipers removed from the top of the second hill. That is, of course, an educated guess on my part.

Rumor has it that this is a temporary arrangement until some structural work can be done at the bottom of the first drop, but that should be considered strictly rumor at this point.
