Brakeless in Minnesota

Thanks to computer issues with Wild Thing last night we had several near brakeless runs. Not a bad way to close out the season. I would like to extend a thank you to a few Buzzers I ran into yesterday, thanks for letting me ride with you! Too bad we met at the end of the season. Hope to see you folks at the opening next year.
I hope the computer messes up for good next year so that I can get some near brakeless rides. I wish I went yesterday instead of Saturday if I knew that would happen! I get POed when park services management lies to me and denies that they changed the operation of Wild Thing since after 1997. I know for a FACT that the ride ran MUCH better in the first 2-3 years than it has since and those idiots don't want to admit it. Even Playa has brought that issue up although he hasn't mentioned anything about the denial of changing the operation it shows that I am not the only one who has seen the change in WT's operation. Who do they think I am? Stupid? NO! but perhap management @ VF is extremely too stupid to see anything! BTW this was from Scott that Park Services manager I've talked to and he was the one that lied to me about the operation change in WT! I would assume Scott started working there after 1998 since WT ran so poorly since then!

-----------------

I've been riding it since 99 so I haven't noticed any difference, except it's gotten really rough in the figure 8...almost hurts to ride at that point. But I've ridden it brakeless and I know that too be much better...

"BRAKELESS IN MINNESOTA" finally literature finds its way into the forum.

Great thread title!

Seems PFF really knows how to make good friends....

Its not what you ask or who you ask, its HOW you ask your question. I have found the staff at VF to be very friendly.

The operation of Wild Thing has not been changed, they have always used the braking on the back stretch, there have been occasions whether through error or plan they have run it with less brakes but on a daily basis WT is run the same today as when it opened in '96. I know this for a fact PFF because I have worked there since 1996.
FYI Pink Floyd Fanatic, Scott has worked there since before 1998. And he was telling you the truth, you should settle down a little and after you take a couple deep breaths if you are still bothered by your claim that wild thing runs poorly now as compared to 1996-1997 then maybe you should go somewhere else and ride some different coasters so you can just shut up. Additionally, calling people names over a coaster seems pretty sad. I feel bad for you that this is all you worry about.

While PFF might run people the wrong way with his opinions, he is still 100% correct about a considerable change between '96-'98 and the following seasons.

I can't say I've ever had a brakeless ride--even in the early years--but the midcourse brakes were a lot looser back in the wild, wooly,wheel-smoking days.

He knows it, I know it, my 9 year-old knows it and so does maintenance.

It's really a Morgan problem and not a VF problem per se.

While I wouldn't walk in to guest services and yell at anybody about it, there's no denying that WT's been choked up since '99.
