The Brady Bunch episode where they are at King's Island is airing tomorrow, Tuesday 2/11/03 at 3:30pm eastern/pacific (2:30pm central).

The last time I saw this episode was WAY before I really got into coasters, so I am looking forward to seeing it again with a new perspective!

You won't find much coaster footage other than Racer but its a fun show none-the-less. The episode is nothing more than a 30 minutes commercial for the park, which had just opened. IMO as usual its Alice who provides the best humor.

FYI if you happen to catch Banana Splits on Cartoon Network's sister channel, Boomerang, you'll see lots of footage of an early SFOT and Cincy's Coney Island in its heyday, especially in the closing credits.

Moosh - who now has the "Tra La La" song stuck in his head....

Its kind of off the Brady's, but I taped on HBO in the early 80's an episode of "Banana Splits: Hocus Pocus Park". Which, of course, had plenty of footage of the guys falling on the turnpike tracks and the wipeout slide. Its a great 30 minutes.

I always laugh at that episode, although I haven't seen it in a long time. I mostly remember them on the Racers, and Bobby and Cindy standing in front of LaRosa's was it? lol.

Has anyone seen the Partridge Family episode? I have seen bits and pieces of it. I think it was filmed the same year as the Brady Bunch one.

Now if you REALLY want to see a some great footage of a park in it's early days rent the Kiss Meets The Phantom Of The Park It was made in 1978 and although it a hysterically cheesey movie you get to see some great footage of Magic Mountain. lol.

Watching the episode for the first time today really brought back some memories. I never liked the Brady Bunch, but it was fun trying to pick out things that are/were there. I will always remember my first trip there - the view of International Plaza from the entrance is just stunning, especially when you're a little kid!

I don't ever remember a canoe ride being there (I guess I'm not that old ;)) Where was it located?

And Moosh, you're right - Alice is definitely the funniest of the bunch.

Jimmybob , the canoe ride was in Rivertown, where the Beast currently resides. If you go in the park First Aid (across from the exit to Phantom Theatre....er......the new Scooby dark ride!), you can see a map from the mid 70's, and the ride is on there.

Too bad PR guy Jeff Siebert wasn't at the park back then--there could have been a great sub-plot with Jan and Marcia fighting over him.

He's so groovy. :) Paula

They could visit the island that we saw on the canoe ride, and wake up the foreign kids asleep in the tee pees.
