BOULDER DASH WAS INCREDIBLE!!!

I just got back from Lake Compounce in Connecticut and after riding Boulder Dash four times I must say this incredible ride is one of the best wooden coasters ever created! Boulder Dash just keeps getting faster and faster as it runs through its HUGE circuit.

Boulder Dash is nothing like I've ever seen in my life. The coaster hugs the mountain through the entire ride, but you don't because there is so much airtime that you are never in your seat! It's like ever single hill launches you into the air like no ride I have ever experienced.

It's also remarkable how long the ride is. The coaster is over 4,600 feet long, but it seems much longer while you're riding it. I was very familiar with the huge out and back layout and on the way out, the train keeps jumping over hills and I keep thinking, "OK, the turnaround back to the station is coming up soon," but we still kept traveling over hills faster and faster away from the station. I got the same feeling as we went over the MANY bunny hops on the return trip.

I firmly believe that Boulder Dash will be a coaster that reinvents this classic park. Now that Six Flags New England has opened up within a 45 minute drive, Lake Compounce is not going to loose in the thrill ride competition. I think that Boulder Dash will be to Lake Compounce what The Raven was for Holiday World. If this park sees something of this magnitude every year or two, Lake Compounce can become a major theme park.

If anyone here has been on this amazing coaster yet, you gotta agree with me.

I whole heartedly agree with you on this one! I loved it! It's practically the most exhilirating thing I've experienced and truly unique! I wrote a similar post last week ("Dash to Boulder Dash")... It's the most exciting new coaster I've done this year, out of 40 new rides for me! EVERYBODY needs to get to Connecticut!

No, Jeff, you have to spend that money on the honeymoon to Hawaii, not visit New England... ;)

From this Bristolite that makes his home 1/2 mile from the park and already has over 20 rides on the Boulderdash all I can say is "DITTO".
