Boulder Dash Video Online

I just went to the Lake Compounce website and found a POV of Boulder Dash! It took me about a half hour to download, but is probably some of the best looking on ride footage I've seen on the net. It didn't break up or slow down at all! The video's from the top of the lift straight thru the brakes.

Awesome video. I love having DSL service because I downloaded this video in under a minute. Hey Coasterpunk, get rid of the phone modem. LOL

That video's been there for a while. It's awesome, indeed. It hurts knowing I can't ride it, and probably won't for a few years. :(

I wish other Kennywood parks would get on the ball like that. When are they going to learn the power of the Web?

what is up with that ride. has anyone rode it? are there any big hills? they all look so small on the video yet ti it maintains its speed through the entire ride. also, this must airtime heaven for those who like that sort of thing. I think they need a few more bunny hops.
There is a complete feature section on this site dedicated to this wonderful coaster! Go check it out, and all your questions will be answered!

I rode BD this summer. It's awsome. I think the tallest part of the structure is like 45 feet off the ground or so even though it has a few bigger drops. It uses the terrain perfectly. The lifthill is only about 10 - 15 feet off the ground since it goes up the side of the mountain. And it does give tons of air like most CCI's. It's incerdible how this coaster keeps it's speed untill the brakes it's 4000+ feet long and could have had an extra 1000 fee and it still wouldn't have slowed up much.

This coaster is interesting because the first drop is 115 feet but after that there is only 30 more feet of total drops. I haven't been on it, but it looks absolutely incredible with speed, air time, and fabulous surroundings. I have a link to a wonderful boulder dash video with music and stuff ill try to dig it up

Am I the only one who watched that with my hands up screaming the whole time? :)

I rode Boulder Dash about 10 times this summer and yes, it is one incredible coaster! It has airtime 'til the cows come home, blazing speed throughout the entire course, and some really neat surprisingly strong laterals on the turnaround. I didn't get to ride it at night (park closed at 8pm) but I'm SURE this beast really wakes up then. I'm going back again this year and hopefully they'll be open later so I can get some of those night rides.

Legendary's description is right on the money. I would add that the speed is enhanced by the way the ride is constantly zipping past trees and rocks. I rode it later in the season, so I was able to get a couple of night rides, and it was just flying through the course. I ended up with 8 rides on it, but it only took one to make it my new favorite wooden coaster. Hats off to CCI and Lake Compounce on one hell of a ride.
