Not sure if the SFDL slide has been mentioned over here on these boards (i'm sure it has by now), but the "big kahuna" family raft ride from SFAW has been on site over at the park and construction has been going on for awhile.
However, just the other day, the official site for Martin's Fantasy Island now mentions they will be installing a proslide "cannon bowl" for the 2006 season.
More slides for the WNY region... which are much needed, in my opinion. Glad to see MFI is adding something, even though the crazy mouse didnt open until the end of July. i'm somewhat surprised by the move. kudos to them.
Does anyone have any thoughts/reviews on the cannon bowl ride? I've seen it on TV, and of all the water parks i have been to i have never been on one of these. how about the body slide version vs. the raft version? they look a lot more fun than the proslide tornados (which i find dissapointing, personally)

Canon Bowl's are great in double tubes...the more weight on the raft the better it is. They aren't nearly as good solo though.

So...new waterslides *and* an Intamin stand-up on site? All that complaining better come to an end...and quick! ;)

The slide looks very fun! :-)
I didn't realize they got a spinney mousey last year. I visited once in 2004.

Is the cannon bowl the exact same type of slide that's at Canada's Wonderland in their Splashworks waterpark?
I think it's called the Barracuda Blaster... but I forgot the name of it.
