Borg Assimilator question

Im headed to Carowinds this sunday, just wanted to ask if anyone had been recently, and how Borg was running, if it was running 2 trains consistently, etc. Thanks alot guys !
Borg hasn't had any major breakdowns, but it has broken down at least once on every day I've gone so far this summer. Usually the breakdowns are brief, nowhere near the breakdown times I've experienced on TTD. They only have two trains and usually both are running, but load times sometimes top five minutes, which I believe is typical for all three Vekoma flyers. From the very end of the queue, expect to wait well over an hour and a half.

It should be fine. The only times I have seen it down was to add another train lately. Enjoy your day at the park! You may even see me there...

There are no bad coasters, only better coasters!!

I was there on Labor day, most coasters were a walk on with the exception of Borg which had an hour plus wait all day, despite running two trains. However they will not run this coaster when it rains, and it was shut down for well over an hour on Labor day because of the weather, so I suggest ride this first.
If you are going @ park opening, run to BORG first! Thats what we did in May, then hopped in the single rider line, which you should do as well if that is an option, and got a front an back seat ride in less than 15 min.

If you're not going during opening, I'd say avoid the Single rider line, as it tends to slow down worse than the actual line during the day.

It was running both trains pretty consistanly when I was there, and, though its standard Vekoma roughness, I think it is my favorite flyer of the 3.

My advice, forget this waste of steel. Borg Ass is the worst mistake Carowinds has ever made. Of course, it's probably not their fault. Corporate probably forced the ride on them. Anyway I personally hope it doesn't stay any longer here than it did in California. I've ridden 3 times due to crowds and poor loading times. This ride has hard headrests that send the vibrations of the ride straight into your brain(causing me nausea which I never get on coasters) and the corkscrews along with the turn onto your back leading to them are horrible. I rode X Flight during the ACE con. and it was a far superior ride.

Also I said before this ride was a horrible choice for the first Star Trek themed ride. A hand-me-down Gimmick coaster with minimal theming elements.

I was at the park last Saturday and it was an 2 Hour Wait. Some of the time there was two trains but for most it was one train.

They are odd and won't let you have any loose articles at all. I tried to wear my glasses with a strap and it wasn't allowed. I don't know why but oh well. They won't even let you put items in an cargo pocket either.

It was broken down for about 15 minutes when I was there. Not too bad.

Forced the ride on them? Yes, they didn't want a ride that commands a 2 hour wait(and its not only the load times, the GP really eats it up), loads of trek merchandise, and another coaster to count in their park.

I think BORG was a great addition. My only problem is I wish it had spring loaded wheels, but as I've said, It is my favorite Veko Flyer, and I've been on all of em.

The only thing I would have done differently is theme the heck outta the station, but it still has good themeing around the coaster.

That's odd because they'll allow you to ride Batwing with sunglasses so long as you've got a strap on them.

I guess SFA's ride policy is totally different than that of Carowinds when it comes to what you can & can't bring onto the ride.

Superman:Ultimate Flight is much more smooth, but Borg Ass has a nice course. The part where you roll over after coming off the lift always gets me by surprise.

I don't see why Carowinds didn't just buy a new ride wrather than taking away from PGA's already pathetic lineup. (They could have kept their GM as well)

I hope they get the train problems sorted out soon.

I am still disappointed that the park sacrificed a great, slow paced ride for another roller coaster. It's almost to the point that all Carowinds has is roller coasters and waterslides.

I rode Borg Assimilator on Labor Day AFTER the huge heavy downpour.

When we rode they were not using Single Rider and the wait was about 30 minutes. (The line was back almost to where the spilit for the normal vs. single rider line is)

They had two trains going, but with a slow dispatch proecdure. My opinion of the ride would be low, but that would be due to riding Superman Ultimate Flight the day before. In fact I favor X-Flight at Gueaga to Borg. At least the park has done a little something by way of putting a canvas cover over the brake run, as well as 2 fans for each row. They know yous it there a long time, so they at least blow cold air in your face.
