Boomerang First Lift Hill

I was recently at Worlds Of Fun and I noticed that the boomerang there seems to have a cable lift on the first lift hill, but a chain on the second lifthill. Are all other Vekoma Boomerangs like this? This is the only one I've ever been on so I haven't had the privilege (or misfortune) of riding any others.
