Boomerang Bay construction underway at PGA

Posted | Contributed by xbombman

Construction for Boomerang Bay's 2005 expansion is underway at Paramount's Great America. Lazy River construction is nearly complete and plumbing for the current system is being installed. The 150,000 gallon, heated Billabong Lagoon is also nearly complete. Parts have arrived for the new body slides, which include an enclosed slide and a vertical drop slide.

Invertigo has been painted, though it has retained the same color scheme.

Photos have been posted to ACN.

Hey, those slides look used! Perhaps from Kings Islands Waterworks. Top Gun needed the paint more though.
Actually they were bought at an auction from the now defunct Manteca Waterslides that just closed this past summer.

Well I'll be damned. Thas even worse. Manteca Waterslides claim to be the worlds first. But I ain't complaining. PGA will prolly not see me next year anyhow!
Awesome, They're moving pretty quick, But, does anyone know what this is:

I'm drawing blanks on everything....(The Big Green slide in the middle, btw.)
Im thinking a large flume ride, but I have no clue.

Thanks

Dude, those are the three (and only) slides that Boomerang Bay opened with last year. The big green is a body slide, not a flume. There is the drop, you go up the ramp and then return (where the little bunny hop is) to a little pool of water.
It's a Whitewater West Boomerango.
