BooBuzz 2011

Good time again Jeff. Thanks. The ERT WAS epic. Meal was great. Sort of glad BB was not Saturday. The place was a mad house Saturday, although the BB activities would have been concluded before the chaos. Just a thought for something new next year is maybe utilizing the Winnebago Bay tour. We went on it twice over the weekend and we were the only ones on each trip. The boat takes you out on the Bay and down to Mean Streak and back. Might be a nice addition to BB. Thanks Jeff!!!

With a platinum pass, the tour is $8 I believe. You'd be better off suggesting an ITOT (informal take over time) than adding $8 to registration. Not everyone would be interested in that. Besides, it runs independent from the park, like the parasailing does. You'd probably have to pay for it seperatly anyway.

Thanks to Jeff for organizing, and Bryan for hosting. We had a great time. Epic ERT is an understatement. 10 laps in 45 minutes, then left to get in line for Maverick. Was 2nd in line and rode Maverick 4 times in 40 minutes before dinner. Good food, low crowds, great weather. Looking forward to next year.

The crowds indeed were very moderate; even for the haunts, depending on what order you went to them; After dinner we got on Windseeker (fairly unsettling at the top with heavy gusts and nothing but darkness around the carriage), Blue Streak (which I thought wasn't going to be open according to CP's website... no complaints though) Toy Factory, Screamworks, a ride on Magnum, Carnevil (twice), Terror Island, Bayou, Fear Faire, Club Blood, a ride on wicked twister and ended the night on Raptor.

Last year we did the "Infirmary", and Cornstalkers; only Erie Estate remains :)

All and all, a good time. The chocolate Frankensteins with mousse(?) for brains was a nice touch

Well, I'm glad they continue to add new Halloweekends attractions. The behind the scenes tours have become the best part of BooBuzz in my opinion. That's probably because I have done more MF and Maverick ERT than I can remember at this point.

I just read somewhere (can't think of it right now) that The Winnebago will be somewhere else next year.

Which isn't surprising, given that it was essentially empty on what was probably the biggest weekend of the year.

They tried this unsuccessfully with the Harbour Belle tours back in 2002ish I believe. It was a nice ride around the bay, but was grossly underused. Guess it's just not profitable?

Well, it's not that expensive to take a ferry over to Put-In-Bay, or one of the other islands which is nearby.

Thanks for another amazing Boo Buzz!

I also like how the switch to Friday looks MUCH better since that Saturday was very VERY busy!
