Bonus CP Opening Day!

To help kick off Cedar Point’s 134th season, the Ohio State University Band will perform at the Main Gate beginning at 8:45 a.m. It will also march from the Main Gate to the Iron Dragon Midway, where it will entertain guests with a 1 p.m. concert

Ohio State? Oh man, bring your earplugs.

That's what makes CP above the rest. It reminds me of the opening of Disneyland everyday. They have a marching band come out and play.

Some more info- the group performing at CP on opening day is the Ohio State Spring Band. If any of you went to the Spring Football game, they were the pregame and halftime performers. As a former member of the Ohio State Marching Band and OSU Spring Band, I'll be there cheering them on!

I hope others cheer for them to as the constant 'Go Blue' yells as we would march down the midway get old after a while. ;)

GO BUCKS!

This isn't totally related, but last March, our marching band went to Disney and the Bahamas and we got to march through the Magic Kingdom in the morning. It was REALLY fun. Everyone's eyes on the midway were on us!

Glad to see OSU got invited! I'm partial to my own Alma Mater (Ohio University), but still appreciate other schools endeavors. Wish I could be there!
