Bonfante Gardens will NOT close!!! Hooray!

I just saw the local news here in Oakland, apparently Bonfante Gardens got the investors they needed, and they willl reopen next season. I will look for a news item on one of our local paper's websites and try to post the link for a news item.

YIPEE!!!!  Good.  I was really hoping to get out there.  That park just looks so nice and pretty.  quicksilver Express doesn't look all that bad, either!

Yeeee Haaawwww!
Hopefully I'll be able to go out there next season while I visit my cousin there. That park looks really beautiful and would be a shame if it was closed down.

GOOD. That was a close one! After personally experiencing the demise of a local park in Ohio (*cough* Americana *cough*) I feel for those that are close to BG. Hope everything works out. And I'll be sure to visit if I ever get out there!

Americana has a very good chance of reopening for 2002:

I can't find anything else on the investor status of Bonfante Gardens. I saw the report of them finding investors on the 5 'o clock news on KRON(channel 4 in the Bay Area) on Monday, but KRON and Bonfante Gardens' website do not mention anything about it... I guess I will monitor them for changes but I am not sure I if I can find a new item to link to. Has anyone else out there also heard this story?
