Bonfante Gardens has lost its battle with the county tax assessor. Now the debt-ridden theme park must either accept its imminent reassessment or sue the county. The park disagrees with how much of the park is eligible for tax-exempt status, a difference that could reduce taxes by hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Bonfante is a non-profit. And, I thought Six Flags were the only non-profit parks. ;-)
I've not been there, and aside from my gut feeling that property values out there are outrageously high, $84.5 million sounds kind of high. I can't imagine that the buildings and rides attribute that much. I thought the sale of some of the land already happened.
Lovely, guess I'd better stop putting off my trip before I end up kicking myself.
