B&M movie cameo?

Tuesday, July 10, 2001 6:29 AM
If you ever saw the movie "The Whole Nine Yards"(Bruce Willis is in it), towards the end of the movie, there is a scene where the two women talk below a bridge on a riverbank. Across the river, in several shots, is a silhouette of yellow and blue coaster with a B&M lift drop and a turning drop. The scene was suppose to be in Canada, but with the B&M in the background, its probably not. Can anybody help determine which B&M coaster that is?

It's not a B&M. It's an Intamin Standup called "Le Cobra" at La ronde.

I asked the same question a while ago & thought it was PCW when in fact it's La Ronde. The coaster is actually an Intamin Stand Up called "Le Cobra." You can see the bridge from the movie behind Cobra in this photo; www.coaster-network.com/bm/intamin/cobra.7.jpg More info; http://www.coaster-network.com/bm/intamin/cobra.htm

You beat me to it V2! :) *** This post was edited by Taipan on 7/10/2001. ***

that sure looks like a B&M i have never seen an intiman ride like that. Question was that a b&m ride while they were still at intiman looks like it.

All Intamin standup coasters used the B&M type track (or is it all B&M rollercoasters use Intamin standup track o_0). Another example is Batman:The Ride in Six Flags Astroworld.

It's because B&M worked for Intamin before leaving to start their own company. These rides were built when they worked for them.

Accually, it's Batman: The Escape. Another ride which uses that track is Z-Force/Flashback.

Yes it is Le Cobra. It's a pretty intense ride. The track even leans out over the road a little. The restraints are kind of wierd and uncomfortable though.

I wonder if Walter and Claude were involved in designing Le Cobra.

Thats is not true. There is Z-force/flashback, Batman: The Escape, Le Cobra, and 7-UP Shockwave at Drayton Manor, among others.
