B&M launchers

Also, if you look at it this way, there are a number of parks with some type of "launched" coaster. So if they already have a launched coaster, best bet is that they might want some other type of experience. B&M right now have a number of designs, sitdown, standup, inverted, floorless, dive machine, hyper, and flying. They have a lot to offer already.

Also, how would Nitro have a launched lift hill?

Just like Hulk Maybe? That is a launched lift Hill.

The countdown has begun to Gaydays 2003 at Disney and Universal.

Hulk the worst design from B&M? That's a big crock of you know what. I think it's one of if not the best steel coasters out there today. I think all the polls speak for them selves when they list Hulk as one of the top ten coasters out there. I have heard more raves for the rides than complaints. I know it's all a matter of personal preference, but you have to admit it is a big draw at IOA and a majority of people do love it. It is definately not the worst B&M creation. In fact I can't think of any B&M's that would be considered horrible. Again it depends on personal preference.

As for a B&M launch system....Patience all.. Give it some time

And yes, B&M did NOT recommend that Hulk be launched, so Universal went to an outside firm(the name slips my mind) to develop the tire driven launch system.

Also B&M have mentioned several times they want to redevelop and/or redesign existing products and add some awesome features to make the the ride experience more intense. They really aren't concerned with Gigas and Terras at this point. But, you never know about the future :)

The third-party company that designed the actual launch system for Hulk is MTS Systems Corporation.

Actually, I'm not all that sure who developed the launch, but my uncle was part of the crew of electrical enigineers that designed the generators that power the Hulk to "Stop it from blacking out Orlando";)(yea right). But he had a chance to ride it back in 1999 before it opened and HE PASSED!!!!!!! I can't believe him, but he is a coaster phobe.

Thanks for giving us a great 26 Seasons!

Correct me if I am wrong (do I need to ask? ;)) but isn't Nemesis:Inferno going to have a launched lift hill?

No, Nemesis Inferno is not going to have a launched lift hill. It will be a standard B&M Inverted Lift hill.

One coaster I have been dreaming about lately is one I've built on RCT. It's a steel twister that uses a launched lifthill. At the top it usually reaches about 70 mph and flies thru the rest of the hyper coaster. That would be cool to see B&M build a hypercoaster with a launched lifthill. Major airtime and several giant hills.....mmmm......

Six Flags, the only chain of parks that can manage to have stacking with a one train operation.

there were rumours of a launch, but it isnt. trust me, its my home park!

B&M may be looking at launches for their coasters. They did not like the idea of the Hulk being launched, which is why Universal went to MTS to get it done. However, B&M was at S&S when the TA2K prototype was on site, and supposedly tried to buy the rights to the launch system. S&S refused, but I bet B&M is working on a variation of the system.
