B&M Impulses and Invertigos

do you think that b&m would ever make impulses and invertigos. if they did, they'd be some fun rides.
Enough with the stupid topics. The company that made them probably has a patent on it, so they probably cant.

No.  B&M won't start builting shuttle rides.  They aren't that kind of company.  They go for full circuit rides.  That's what they are known for.  If someone wanted an impulse or an invertigo they'd go to INTAMIN or Vekoma.  Yes I know that Vekoma and INTAMIN have SLCs.  But you do see more B&M inverteds than SLC's, right?  Although I do hope Vekoma stays in business cause they do a great job.  Six Flags just needs to pay them for the coasters that were built.  Jeeze.

The same thing could have been said about flying coasters, guys. Of course there is a possibility that B&M might make shuttle coasters. As far as patents go, they are a funny thing. You can change a few insignificant detail and get your own patent for virtually the same thing. But anyway, do I think B&M will make coasters like that? Hard to say. But I do know that ruling it out completely is underestimating them.

i think it would be great for B&M to start making new types of coasters. imagine a impulse with B&M floorless trains. or a stand up dive machine
Intamins track seems like the only kind that will support itself. I dont think otehr kidns of track can twist and go up like that.

Of course B&M COULD build shuttle rides, nothing is preventing them from that.  B&M won't build a shuttle coaster until a park asks for one.  It is as simple as that(I hope).

CoasterHut, I was wondered if anyone was going to bring that up...good point by the way. Intamin's track is super strong. It's vertical sprial sways a good foot or so, as does the other side. I bring this up because if B&M tried to make an impulse like Intamin's, they would need a stronger track. And trying to put supports on the track wouldn't help any because this would prevent the track from swaying, and would cause it to break.

NitroExplodes, don't be dissing him, he has a perfectly legitimate question.

DDFire19, what do you mean they aren't that type of company? They build coasters and they like to make money...I don't see a problem. Besides, you act like Vekoma and Intamin only build non-circuit coasters. They build full circuits just like the next guy, but it just depends on the type of ride the park wants.

Intamin has full circuit hypers/gigas, inverteds, and woodies, while Vekoma has full circuit fylers, and woodies.

B&M has just as much right building a flyer as they do an impulse (if they did it would be a new kind, not a copy of Intamin's).

b&m invertigos would be pretty smooth and i think they could work, the track is strong enough and would be really intense.
B&M is certainly not going to build an "Invertigo". That's Vekoma's model name for a stock ride. Even if B&M were to design a shuttle ride of some sort, they wouldn't just knock off the Invertigo layout, and therefore wouldn't be building an Invertigo.

The same argument can probably be made for the Intamin Impulses. Even if B&M were to make an inverted launched shuttle, I'd expect it to be something different in terms of layout.

well no duh they'd have to change the name and layout of the ride, or there's gonna be a lot of suing.

:) I was going to chime in with something like that, but I decided to keep my mouth shut...oh well. :)

If you realized that, then why ask the question?  If you change the name and layout, then you're not building an Invertigo or Impulse, so the point's moot.
