B&M hyper trains on a looper?

People have been discussing whats going on with drachen fire down at BGW talking about new  trains and such but would B&M hyper trans (2 wide of course) work with a looper like drachen fire the seats are great and when I ride apollo the lap pad or what you want to call it feel very secure and feels adequate for a looper and of course is extrmly confortable. would it work on drachen and do you think it woudl make a difference?

if this has been discussed before feel free to point me in the direction of the thread and close this one down.

If you search hard enough, you can find out why many of find OTSR's pointless on a looper, supported by the fact that Paramount and Premier Rides ditched them on the Flights of Fear. They really aren't necessary.

However, just because we're OK with it, doesn't mean the designers and engineers are. Ask Dave about the comment he made to the B&M rep at IAAPA about putting Nitro trains on Wildfire.

HEY DAVE !!!

What about the comment you made to the B&M rep at IAAPA about putting Nitro trains on Wildfire ? Fill us in...

I must say that the trains would be pretty sweet on it!
man, i would think it would be a down right insult if i was a desinger and a park came to me saying that they need the OTSR's takin off.  but i think that lapbars or just maybe better PADDING (something desingers seem to be stubborn about) and maybe even trying shocks (unless they already have them, but that would take care of roughness, not jerkyness).  i dont know, im not too keen on how roller coaster trains work.

While OTSRs are pointless, if the ride is designed right, a la B&M, then nobody seems to have a problem with them.

Soom coaster are required for more support than some other coaster.  For ex.  Arrow train are packed in and probably is possible passengers may lean forward and hit there head on the train dash bored or whatever.  Some other coasters have this not just Arrow.  No i don't think it is possible to fit a 4 seated B&M train on the tracks because the layout is to compact to have a big trian, maybe B&M can desighn a 2 seater train.

Jeff, was that while you were with me? That was a rather enlightening day...remember that was also when we found out about the Flight of Fear retrofit...

Anyway, I stopped by the B&M booth at IAAPA. It looked something like this. It hadn't been announced at the time, but on the left was a Nitro pilot car, and on the right was a Wildfire pilot car. Standing between them, I spoke only briefly with some random person associated with the B&M organization. "What I want to see you guys do," I said, "is to put that train..." (Dave gestures to the car on the left) "...on that coaster." (Dave points to the car on the right.). In other words, I came right out and said that I thought they should run the Speedcoaster train on the sit-down looper.

I think the person I was talking with simply didn't realize I was serious. To his credit, he didn't offer any excuse why it couldn't be done...!

That would have been cool on the Steel Phantom......
