B&M flyer opens in UK

After years of waiting the first B&M flying roller coaster has opened. I rode it twice yesterday and it surely does give a great sense of flying, like nothing I've ever experienced before. SW5live.com has about 50 photographs of the ride in action.

Cool!
Definitely cool... I love the futuristic look of the station. But wow does Alton Towers look like a really crowded park. How bad are the waits for the coasters over there usually?
slow...!

thingintheworldhelpmeIamgoingtodieAHHHH!!!

you put your entrance ticket into a VQ machine and you get a special card with a time, at the time that that is on the card you start in a special SHORTER queline to the ride, this way instead of waiting 2 hours you'll be in the ride within 20 Minutes.

is a good system only problem is that you can get only ONE VQ ticket at a time, so you'll have to adjust your day at the park to the VQ times.

Does Air load people the sameway as X Flight at Six Flags Worlds Of Adventure?

It loads like an inverted coaster, then you are brought up to the flying position.
The bottom of that drop looks pretty close to the ground!!
How does the dual station work??? It interests me greatly;)

Probably about 2 weeks ago a movie on the internet came out on AIR. People were riding it and commenting on it, too. Was that not AIR? OR was this opening just for the general public, and AIR had been open for other riders?

SFNE Freak, The daul station works like this. While one train is on the tracks the other is on a peice of transfer track and is moved over to the side and allowed to load. Then it is switched back and sent out. So basicly it allows you to have another train on without stacking.(If anyone has anything else to add please do)

Where has the magic gone in the name Disney?SFNE

I saw the air video from the internet, and the coaster looks amazing. It's sure to beat out the vekoma Flying Dutchman. Seeing how Alton is a little too far away, i'll just stay at my house and drool while watching the Air video, or go to SFoG when S:UF opens up.
The dual station is not as described above (that's like the station you would find on Mr Freeze). Instead their are two platforms and a set of points before and after to allow each train to come and go into either platform at the end of the ride.)

Unfortunately today something broke on one of the platforms so only one side is working at the moment

The ride though is excellent if not a little slow. Best seats are at the back as you get more of a whip effect on the drops and the flips *** This post was edited by Michael Bolton on 3/19/2002. ***
