B&M "dummy" Car

I was always curious as to why B&M does this on some of their models of coasters..Like the very front of the Mantis train, or Kumba. Why?

Also, I believe Alpengeist is the only invert to have one:

Thanks, I wasn't exactly sure what to search for word wise. Sorry about the wasted thread...

I was unaware that they were forcing people of lower IQ levels to sit in a specific car on B&M rides. Thanks for clearing that up for me as everytime I go to ride one of these B&M rides I'm always forced to sit in a certain isle. NOW IT MAKES SENSE....wait a minute.
