B&M Coaster Track spotted on I-275 near Cincy, OH

I hope it was what I saw. I was driving to work on I-275 going east toward Mason, Ohio. And before I drove over I-75, I saw a semi truck carrying on its flatbed what appears to be coaster tracks! (no lie) The truck was headed westbound towards Indiana or Illinios. The tracks looked like B&M coaster tracks. They were painted brown and had a what looked liked yellow rails. They looked like they were pieces of a loop. The tracks weren't inverted they were normal types that would be used for a flooerless, a stand-up, or a sit down coaster. Could they be going to SFGAm for their rumored floorless coaster in 2001? Did anyone see this truck somewhere in Indiana or Illinois on the expressway?

God I hope you are right. Direct that truck to Gurnee,Illinois. I will definitely be looking for those track sections when I visit SFGAm on Monday (6/26/00). *** This post was edited by Chitown on 6/20/2000. ***
Chitown, I hope I'm right too. Keep me posted about SFGAm. I'd like to know if that is what I saw. I'd like to solve this rumor/mystery.

If memory serves me right, B&M track is fabricated in southern Ohio (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). And with all the construction in the Cincy area, a westbound truck on the city's beltway could be going anywhere.

Finally someone mentioned PKI. Mason is like 10 miles (if that) from PKI. Coincidence? I doubt it. Possibly an SOB replacement???

just a thought...

What about Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO? I picked this from ScreamScape today...

-----2001- Rumor - Unknown Steel Coaster - (6/21/2000) A couple of local spies claim to have seen dark brown coaster track similar to Thunderation arriving at the park. One source who tried to get a better look seemed to think that it was Inverted coaster track, possibly B&M or Giovanola. Given the normal budgets of SLC parks, my bet goes to Giovanola. It also seems that it will not have the "Great Train Chase" theme as previously reported. Serious construction on the ride could start in July.-----

The tracks I saw weren't inverted as I have mentioned before. They were tracks similar to floorless, stand-ups, sit-downs, and hypers that B&M has made.

It could be track for pki's new coaster they will be getting. It could be possible for it to come next year rather than getting 2 in 2002.

Wait a second... unless it's installed you really can't tell the difference between inverted and normal track.

That's what I was thinking.

If the track is on the inside of the box-structure, it could be a sit down loop, or a part in an inverted that goes up. And if the track is on the outside, it could be a loop for an inverted, or the crest of a hill on a sit down ride.
Thank you for mentioning that for me. That goes for both the track spotted on the truck and the track already at Silver Dollar City... the color matches and it sounds like the truck could have been headed that way. It might be the one...nothing logical to refute it yet, anyway.
Wow! I've never thought of that. The truck I saw was just headed in that direction. It could've gone to either parks. Thanks for clearing that up for me, Jeff. Which ever park is getting that must be lucky next year.

Well I was just at SFGAm this past Monday and I completely forgot to look for the track sections. I remembered as I was driving home. I guess the mystery continues.
I spotted a semi headed west of St. Louis with similar track sections on Saturday the 10th. My guess goes to Silver Dollar City...
