B&M # of new coasters in US each year

Forgive me if this has been discussed prior, but I was wondering about the topic I have seen mentioned occasionally regarding three new B&M's in the US each year. Although my track record in regards to B&M is quite short (namely b/c my home park has zero!) it seems that there is always a new B&M opening all the time. I know many of you follow them much more closely than I do and was hoping you could shed some insight on the subject. I have loved the one's I have had a chance to ride (Batman in St Louis and Chicago and Iron Wolf) and am going to be travelling out west later this summer. I will hopefully add to the list then, but does B&M have this restriction? If so, are other countries limited as well?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I doubt they have a limit, but I don't know a whole lot about coaster companies procedures.

I think the number of B&M rides produced each year is limited mainly by the fact that they are a popular company and it takes time to actually design and fabricate the components needed for each ride ordered.

There is just not enough time between this season and next for B&M to produce enough coasters to keep up with the demand.

i believe that B&M currently have a 3 season waiting list in the US alone.
Now that I think of it, it does make sense. They are one of the most popular, if not, the most popular coaster company right now.
Doesn't CCI have like a 7 year waiting list or is that a rumor? There are about 9 new B&M coasters this year

well all the beemers ni the world are in the northern hemishpere (we need a georgia scorcher clone down here) and i think its because B&M cant be bothered shipping steel down here, leaving you all with the worlds beemer population, i want one more than anyone else...............

I cant help but feel there is no point in posting this

but i think 5-6 beemers opened this year

le vampire

batman the pursuit

superman ride of steel

batman the dark knight

AIR

superman ultimate flight

and next year there is one confirmed beemer

NEMESIS INFERNO

at thorpe park, you will know its an inverter with mixed designs, starts real queer with a stretch of track from the station to the lift, then it goes like batman clones and dive drops to the left, vertical loop, Zero-G Roll, then it rises into the air and turns about 170* in a sort of horseshoe thingy, but bigger, then it does a never before seen on an invert (this excludes the dueling dragons), interlocking wingovers, then it goes into a Nemesis sort of finale with two highly banked, tight helixes, pulling loads of Gs Nemesis style, then it stops with a two part brake system into the station......... but theres no huge hole in the ground here, just one hell of a good coaster and its themeing.............now will this be the successor to the great N3M3S!S???

its gonna be big

*i know there was no point in putting that there but i want the world to know that thorpe is gonna become one hell of a park, and who knows, this coaster might actually be a single station flyer, now THAT would be good, a flyer nemesis style, AIR never saw it coming*

That's 7 this year, you forgot Silver Star.

I found a shirt at ACE's coastercon. It lists the first fifty coasters of B&M:

1990-Iron Wolf
1991-Vortex
1992-Vortex, Batman: The Ride
1993-Top Gun, Kumba, Batman: The Ride
1994-Nemesis, Batman: The Ride, Raptor
1995-Drogon Kahn, Batman: The Ride, Diavolo, Gambit
1996-Mantis, Montu, Orochi
1997-Pyrennes, The Great White, Alpengeist, Chang, Batman: The Ride
1998-Oblivion, Riddler's Revenge, Great Bear
1999-Top Gun: The Jet Coaster, Apollo's Chariot, Medusa, The Georgia Scorcher, Raging Bull, Batman: The Ride, Incredible Hulk, Dueling Dragons
2000-Superman Krypton Coaster, Medusa, Batman: Knight Flight, Katun, Kraken, G5
2001-Nitro, Wildfire, Talon, Impulse Flying Coaster
2002-Air, Silver Star, Batman: The Ride, Superman: Ride of Steel, Superman: Ultimate Flight, Batman The Dark Knight, Le Vampire

It doesn't look like they have any limits. They went from one coaster in their first year to 7 this year and with 8 in 1999 (9 if you count DD twice). All of them being in the US that year.

I want one dammit

We all do...but if we got whatever we wanted we wouldn't have to have parks build them for us would we?

Hmm..........and all this time, I thought S:ROS was an Intamin coaster.............
There is a S:ROS from B&M its in WBMW in spain,(unless you knew that and where just kidding).

welll, the thread DID say US coasters......a *tad* confusing....

BTW, does anyone else notice a TREND here...more and more Beemers every year...they may be a little "family-oriented" in terms of ride experience, but then again, parks have to go for the WIDE demographic.....we can always go to the more "thrilling" rides when we want them....

Thank you to everyone who has replied. I would really like to see one come to WOF (or near) but do not see that happening anytime in the near future. I will just have to venture to Ohio and the coasts.

It would be cool if B&M made a twisted mine train layout. No inversions just the cool transtions like at the end of Mantis and Incredible Hulk and I'd use the trains on Wild Fire but mabye a little shorter. B&M mine trains could be really cool. Good example:

Put Cobra at SFMW on steroids(make it a little bigger in height and size of transitions) and make it a B&M sitdown.

Oh, how about replacing that damn slow Polar Coaster at Storyland with with the first B&M mine train. I get so sick of going to a park whose most intense ride is Bamboo Chutes.

Oh, and it Pyrenees and Diavlo(once called Bandit)
