Finally got around to scanning a bunch of stuff in, so I figured I would share these pictures.
Hope some of you enjoy them :)
Very cool! I do miss transferring the train off at night, completely manual once it got out of the station brakes. The crews now have an automatic transfer table, at least they still have to catch the train themselves. Transferring is probably the thing I miss most about working Blue Streak (07).

^I miss it too, Mike! Everything was manual until 1994, I'm very lucky to have experience that. We had no idea the ride would change so drastically in the next few years.
When one of my best friends ran the ride, it had a break handle. Get off my lawn!

Very nice pictures. It's hard to remember what it was like before the PTC trains.

^I think what Maverick00 meant is that it is hard to remember what the Blue Streak was like before the *Frankensteined* PTC cars.
Not hard for me to remember, I rode that bad boy every day.
Great photos CoasterDemon, thanks for sharing.
I think for many of us we can certainly use the 1994 season as a dividing line between the Cedar Point of old that we grew up with and still cherish, and the beginning of what was to become Cedar Point of today. Not only did things physically change in the park, but operationally this seems to be the year that the "safety police" were unleashed when it came to ride operations. Granted, things must change with time but I would always hope there would be balance and sanity in changes. I won't bother to rehash some of the more puzzling changes but when taken as a whole with everything else over the past decade or so, it really has added to the loss of charm that was once Cedar Point. It is going to be telling how things evolve beginning this summer and going forward under the new regime.

Yes that's what I meant. Gotta love those orange and blue uniforms.

Neat photos!
I worked at CP during 92-93 as well... A buddy worked on Blue Streak... Do you remember a Chris L working on that ride?
aka MonkeyPants
Frankensteined? I didn't know people used that word! I use that word all the time. On of my favorites!
Along with zippy bags and gum bands. :)

Thank you - and I sure do remember Chris L - check your private messages.
Nice pictures. Blue Streak was my first real coaster (Mine Ride didn't count). Still one my my favorite rides in the park. Wished it ran like it did before the modifications though.
I am shocked, this topic has been up for several days now and nobody mentioned the fact about the all-male crew in the photos!
It use to be standard operating procedure at Cedar Point for rides to be segregated by "male only" and "female only" crews with the thinking it would keep ride crews focused on their job and not flirting with each. (If there were other technical reasons I hope someone can share, I've never heard of anything specific.) By the late 90's it became impossible to maintain segregated crews because of hiring difficulties, thus the end of this policy.
^Good point! I totally forgot about that.
This very 'over zealous' PR person told me and my friends once (when we were interviewing for CP in 1990) that the rides are all male or all female because they didn't want inner-flirting and such. So when I got the point, I always wondered about that since there were so many gay folks (and lesbians!) - so what was The Point?
I think they finally clued into that later.
There was a rumor "all the Blue Streak guys are gay!" Well, about half of us were anyway. Either way, we had the coolest ride to work on and everyone loved us. It was a great time.
edit - now the memories are really coming back! The Blue Streak and Wildcat (and maybe Mine Ride?) were 'guy' rides. There was plenty of manual stuff to do - including transferring trains and pushing the occasional late train out of the station. Looking back, it may seem a little sexist; for there were PLENTY of strong girls at the Point that would do just fine on those coasters.
The big coasters were all 'girl' rides; I was told that girls are more attentive, etc, and need to be when looking at those light up panels.
