Blue Streak Challenge?

My Dad and I were thinking about doing the Blue Steak Challeng next year. We are both members of ACE. We were just wandering what kind of arrangements had to made if any in order to participate? Blue Streak Rocks!

Do what I want guess I can because I wanna.

From what I understand, you need to find donations and such to participate.

I think ACE membership doesn't matter because the Challenge is done by the Fans of Conneaut Lake Park, not the park itself.

The Blue Streak Challenge website address is http://home.neo.rr.com/city/

Yeah, go to that website that bigkirby mentioned. I'm also hoping to do in next year. If so I'll see ya there.

Anyway all I know is that it's held on a monday in July (when the parks closed to the public). I thnk you have to get pledges from people. The people who raise the most money can ride. Except I think that there were only 8 people who did it last time so it'll probably be easy to get to ride. You could also go to watch and cheer on the people riding.

Six Flags, the only chain of parks that can manage to have stacking with a one train operation.

Well saying they take the top 24 doesn't apply to the marathons anymore. Conneaut used the marathon as a way to introduce the restored PTC trains to the public but they cannot hold 24 riders at a time (still the best change ever to happen).

I say go for it. I might as well next year.

Yeah I haven't rode the older trains yet, how are they. From what I've heard they are much smoother.

PTC, aka PT Cruiser, I dunno...

Hey thanks bigkirby for the website link. when it says to get as many pledges from sponsors, does that mean anybody can pledge for you? Like family and friends?

I think you can get pledges from anyone. Email Kelly http://home.neo.rr.com/city/marathon/contact.htm

since I really don't know. And the new trains are very nice. Good luck and I hope to see you there next year :)

who will definetly be watching the marathon at the very least
