Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knew where the tallest skycoaster/ripcord east of the mississippi and outside of florida is. Even if you don't know for sure, just where you think it might be.

I think the skycoaster at Darien Lake is 185 ft
It would be the 250 FT SkyScreamer at the now defunct MGM Grand Adventures Theme Park behind the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was the tallest SkyCoaster attraction in the world before the 300 FT model opened in Kissimee, Florida. SkyScreamer is still operating, but unfortunately not to the general public. It is available to those who make reservations for conventions at the hotel as I recall from a press release announcement about the park's closure.

I think Kennywood's is around 200 ft, but I'm not sure.

Enough of this....
The tallest is the Skycoaster at Old Town in Kissimee. It is 300ft. The one in Las Vegas is 250ft. It is now only a private event gig, so riding it is going to be tough. The one at Kennywood was the tallest at 180ft., and held the record for several years.
Parks with the most Skycoasters?......Morey's Piers in Wildwood. They have 2 of them, both 110ft. models, and also they have one in the warehouse, just in case.
Am i the only one who has not heard of what lock ness is talking about? Dueling sky coasters?? Anyway, it seems like not everyone caught all of my question. What is the largest Sky Coaster east of the mississippi river and NOT in Florida. I know the Kissimee skycoaster is the largest, that is why I said NOT in Florida. I ask because I am going to a lot of parks on the east coast, and I was wondering which one had the largest. The biggest I know of is the Kennywood one, but i wasn't sure, which is why I asked.

This has nothing to do with the topic but what if there was a sky coaster on top of a big building. The ride would make you go off the side of the building when you swing from the main lift. Think how scary this would be on top of one of the large buildings in Vegas.
How bout on top of the Stratosphere in Vegas. That would be nuts. Has anyone here ridden the one in Kissimmee. My friends are gonna try to drag me on when we go up there in June, but I dont know. Its pretty high up there.

SFA has a height limit of 200 feet, unless they broke it over 2001. We can only wish...

There is a sky coaster in russia that is 300 ft. I remember watching that on a show a couple weeks ago
The Skycoaster @ SFA will be a measly 100ft. Why you ask? Apparently, PKD has an exclusive agreement that states that there will be no Skycoaster greater than 100ft in height within XXX miles of PKD. (XXX because I dont know the exact distance). That's one of the other reasons that they decided to put it on the little hill. Thatt way it can look higher that it reall is.

Sky Screamer was touted this past final operating season and since it premiered as the world's largest, not tallest. This as told to me by a supervisor that it is the largest in that its the tallest double arch, or double swing/cable sky coaster, and is marketed as such even thought it implies to the GP that it is the tallest.
Here is a list of all skycoaster's available on there site. No skycoaster's listed for russia unless its made by another company.
