I just got back from vegas and i rode the stratosphere and it was the most insane and best thrill ride i have ever been on. it was even better than most of the coasters i have been on. It was sooo scary, and it was by far the best s&s tower ever. I was facing the strip and i was so scared. Once you are at the top the re-rides are pretty cheap. You gotta hook up on that. I was just wondering, if everybody else has the same feeling i do about the greatest thrill ride ever created. Speed: The Ride was also awesome!!!!

FEAR THE FOUR
Drachen fire what will happen to it?
Big Shot is great! I was lucky enough to ride it once but I hear it is closed do to winds a lot. It looks really slow from the ground but when you are up there...woooosshhh! You're gone in a second! One thousand feet of the ground. Crazy.

Went on it at night. It was unreal!
Big shot was killer man! I loved it.
I know it is on top of the Stratosphere, but how tall is the actually tower you are shot up in?
When I went on Big Shot, I was in tears about to pee my pants. I was THAT scared. Way more intense than any ride that I have ever ridden before. The ride itself is okay, just the location is the killer!
Is the actual ride scary and just by how high you are?

PKI-Wooden and Kiddie Coaster Capital of the World!
The First and Only Gigabuzzer bigger than Millie, rising Faster than Maggie, and pulls more BS than MS ever will!!!
You are the Weakest Link! Goodbye!!!
1000+ feet. The ride isn't so much as scary, it is where you are! But don't get me wrong, I love those S&S towers they are a blast!
The ride is really good, because there is an added effect. It seems like it stalls so you float, then it starts going down while you are going up. It is one of the best views in the world. And the height is makes it the scariest ride on the planet.

The ride itself is a 160ft, 16 passenger model. It was one of the first Space Shot attractions ever installed. The Turbo Drop at Buffalo Bill's was also one of the first of it's kind.
The Big Shot is tops in my book. The first time I was never so scared in my life. What a view. Try it at night! Nothing like it in the world. Intense doesnt ever describe it.
I was lucky enough to go on this when I went to Vegas about 4 years ago. Let me tell you, It was the most scariest ride I had ever been on. Like someone just said, the ride itself isnt actually scary, Its just where you are(1000FT above the ground)
Anyway, the launch was quite intense, and it really gave you a buzz, It was awesome, View was amazing too,Never before had I felt so scared in my entire life(even my brother was,and he is older than me) Definatly gald I went on it though:):)
why couldnt they make it one of those that goes up slowly and drops you down. to me, because of the view and height, it would be alotta betta!

dont coaster hate
homepark=knotts berry farm (monte rules)
Unless it goes all the way down the side, I don't think it would be better. You can't even see much until you are blasted off, and that is when the ride becomes scary.

Because when The Big Shot opened in 1996, the
Turbo Drop concept wasn't on the market yet. The 'concept' did debut just a YEAR later in 1997 (Turbo Drop) and just a mile or two down the road from LV in the back lot of the Buffalo Bills Hotel & Casion.

Try riding it after a few drinks inside the casino. It was 10:00pm, still 90 degrees outside, and the hot wind seemed strong enough to blow you off the tower. Add to that the fact that I was toasted, OH MY GOD! We all screamed like little girls... amazing! This is one ride you gotta do once before you die. ;)

"You are the weakest link...goodbye".

Just a few hours ago I was flying over Vegas from Hawaii (anyone know if there are any coasters there?). I bet the view would be great up on it.

We are the keepers of the sacred words, Ni!, Peng!, and Nuuuuuwwwom!
I heard something about a drop ride going all of the way down the tower. around 700 ft. or 1000 underground. I don't know what to think of it, but that would be awesome. Ride the rides on the top, then instead of taking the elevator down just ride the drop.
