Well, I was already in Wisconsin at a camping resort enjoying my vacation when I realized I was only an hour from the Dells so I decided to venture out there Thursday morning. I arrived and the park was pretty empty so I knew everything would be a walk-on. The pay scale there is $5.50 per ride which includes all 21 of the go-kart-tracks and the 3 coasters(insanely expensive) or buy a 7 hour wristband for $30.00 for unlimited rides. I think you know which one I chose.
I went from never riding a CCI woody in my life to riding 3 of them in one day. I was impressed with 2 of them.
Pegasus, this ride probably should never have been built. It seems like there are to many defects in the track and the trains. Everytime the train would go through a turn it would screech like metal rubbing metal with no oil. The only cool thing about this ride was it intertwined with one of the go kart tracks but other than that pretty boring.
Cyclops, Wow, wow , and wow!! This ride is fast and intense. I want to say its layed out like a figure 8. After the first drop that immediately hooks to the left it races through 2 bunny hops and then makes a sharp turn to the left. After that you travel into a mid brake run where the 2nd drop is the best drop out of the 3 coasters in the park. It almost looks like it drops straight down in which you get serious airtime especially in the back seat. The train then hauls but in a gradual right turn on the track and then back into the station. This is one of the best woodies I have ever ridden.
Zeus, this is there big daddy in the park. This ride has great elements. The initial drop out of the station is pretty cool which hooks left and into the lift hill. After reaching the top of the hill you actually do a 180 degree turn before dropping down the first hill. I wasnt to impressed with that drop but after that this ride really delivers.
