I got to t0he park around 10:10. Get a wrist band right away, go ride Cyclops. Back seat, and no, they do not enforce the "18+ only back seat" rule. My group of 3 people had the train to ourselves, each with our own row.
Next we went to Zeus. Each got our own row, but not the whole train. The pond on the turnaround has shrunk since June, and is now merely a puddle of green scum. Yuck! I have found something about the ride itself I don't like. The double-down on the return. The first down is fine, provides airtime. The second does little more than suddenly jerk you up and slam you into your lap bar. I bet if I would check where the lapbar always hit me, I have bruises. It still is a great ride, though.
Pegasus, train to ourselves, had the first ride of the day for it. Nothing special about it other than they need to trim a tree around it. It could take an eye out! (not really, but I almost hit my hand on it.)
I went on 2 go karts this time, Posidon's Underwater track, already was on it. Also, the Trojan Horse track. That is better than I thought it would be, but unfortunatly, I started 2nd, passed the person in front of me right away, and never saw anyone again. Darn defensive drivers! They never go fast!
After about 3 hours of riding the coasters and 2 go karts, we left because someone in our group wanted to go on a Upper Dell boat tour. I almost fell asleep, I would have if it wasn't for the 2 stops. Watching a dog jump a 5 foot gap 50 feet in the air was the high point... but lost all excitment due to the fact there was a net.
Before we got to Big Chief's in the morning, I was mad to see the Sky Scraper at a mini-golf place was closed. There was no activity in any of the buildings around it either, and it was already 10. But I guess I was lucky. After the boring... I mean boat tour, I saw it running, and we made a stop there. After waiting 1 cycle, I went on. The guy running the thing was cool. After you were strapped in (I didn't think it needed such a complex restraint system. It took a good 5+ minutes to get both seats set for the ride) the guy moved the platform partially out of the way, and jumped down to the ground while holding the car, forcing you to spin. So, the ride starts, I'm going up and down, flying toward the ground 160 feet up head first, and eventually stopped at the top. I flip myself for a little bit, and stop to see whats taking so long. Nobody was loading, and I ended up at the top for at least a minute. It's a nice view because the ride is at the top of a hill. I could see everything that wasn't covered by trees. So, there goes the 2nd half of the ride going backwards, and the only opinion on the ride I've come up since then is that it's relaxing. How many people you know can say a giant loop-o-plane like ride is relaxing? As for me, 1. Myself.
In all, I had a good time, just I was getting annoyed with my group. Only once did I convince them to ride the same thing twice in a row. It's a simple concept. If we are going to ride it later, ride it now and save the walking distance.
