BGW plans 40,000-sq.-ft. surprise

Not much info on it, just that its 40,000-sq.-ft.
Sign on fence reads "the other side is closer than you think. coming in 2005."

Army Rangers lead the way
Indoor wood coaster/darkride by Gravity Group and Sally?

Since I have no idea I might as well start wishing for something!

Thanks redman822.

Hooray...at least it will be a thrillride.
When I heard that KUKA are currently testing their Robocoaster merged with real coaster track, I just thought that it would fit into the building in BGW.
It would certainly push some boundaries as a darkride/thrillride-hybrid.
This is just my imagination, though.
Actually, whatever this "40,000" sf behemoth is going to be, it looks like the smaller regional and destination theme parks are beginning to make a run at the bigger thrills found at Universal and Disney.
If you get to the park, there's a couple of skeletons that are "disscusing" the new attraction on the bridge near the ride. Their dialogue is pretty funny; one mis-reads the sign: "The other side is closer - and you stink!"

Of course, they don't shed and light on the attraction.

To being an "us" for once - instead of a "them".

Just a guess but based on the theming around the ride could we have a haunted house/roller coaster ala the Mummy coming to BGW? That would be sweet.

It can't be anything involving a mummy because the Mummy's Revenge just opened at Universal Studios.

It's an INCREDIBLE ride so Busch Gardens is going to have to beat them out. Mind you, they are 1 hour away from Florida's main source of Tourism.

I stood on a bench and took a photo over the wall. It's saved on my notebook so i'll post it later. Hopefully you guys can make something out of it.

Ya, he wasn't saying they were getting a mummy themed ride, he was saying they might be getting a darkride/coaster combo a la the mummy. Not that they're getting a mummy ride, just the same type of system with a different theme.

And I doubt seriously that BGW is putting it in to compete with IoA. How many states apart are the 2?

Exactly what I meant, sorry about the confusion. I see it being either, a graveyard/ghost concept or (my personal wish) a werewolf (not the werewolf, so no infringement on Universal's rights) themed concept. How sweet would that be, whereas you are the wolf on BBW, this time the wolf would be chasing after you, in the dark, on an out of control journey. *** Edited 9/11/2004 7:21:14 AM UTC by Touchdown***

You know.... I find it peculiar that BGW got rid of two coasters and hasn't added one. Any chance this could be a indoor Wild Mouse like Exterminator? I realize they just got rid of their Wild Mouse and sent it BGT or perhaps a indoor runaway mine train with a wolf theme?
They got rid of Drachen Fire but AC more or less replaced that in their coaster lineup. Besides, I'd rather see this new attraction be a real darkride instead of a coaster and have a wood coaster added within another couple of years instead.

I sent my minion (aka Rachel the sister) to go and scope it out with her friends. She says, yes, the building is HUGE. And she also said NO WORK is going on inside the huge bahemith yet.
