BGW and PKD opening weekend pics available

Yes, it's opening weekend for the Mid-Atlantic parks, namely Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Paramount's Kings Dominion. Beautiful weather and managable crowds added to a wonderful weekend. Oh, and if you didn't know Kings Dominion opened a little coaster called Hypersonic.

Stan "THE MAN" Checketts keeps getting better, I can't wait to get to ride his latest thrill machine. However, I want MY home park to be the first to allow him to realize his dream of 100 mph at 400' high - unfortunately I live in Florida, and we don't seem to ever get really tall rides.
gator, Florida doesn't seem to get really tall rides because they can't. The state has a 200-foot ceiling for thrill rides.
I rode Rock'n Rollercoaster in Disney and it wasn't as exciting as I hoped but I can honestly say that the during the launch of 0-60 in 2.8 seconds, I felt all of my organs hit the back of my body! The Launch of 0-80 in under 2 seconds has got to be the most exciting thrill possible. How tall is the supersonic at PKD?
Hypersonic XLC is about 172 feet tall, as I recall from various posts about testing sessions at the grounds of S&S.

It's coming...
Again, wonderful pics Scott! And thanks for the great ones of Nessie! I can't wait for the day when they run all 3 trains. Seems like I always pick the slow days.

An unnerving stillness in the woods of southern Indiana beckons for you on May 11th.....
im in one of those pics yeah!
Great pics! They really make me want to take a drive down to PKD this weekend. Alas, I cannot. It is nice to start to see some of the new rides (and old favorites) operting too, after a long winter of construction. The next two months should be fun. Thanks for the photos.

CoasterPysco, Hypersonic is 165 feet tall. PKD is one of my two home parks with SFA and I can't wait to ride Hypersonic in mid April and Batwing in mid to late May.

Headin down to Busch on Saturday and PKD on Sunday. Its gonna be one heck of a weekend. I'm really suprised that I convinced my parents to take me in the first place. Can't wait to ride Hypersonic, but I'm sure they're be a long wait!
Great pics. I cannot wait to go to BGW in May. That just got me way more excited. Counting down the days...
I'm going to Busch in June, it will be my first trip and I am disappointed that Drachen Fire was shut down and that they don't have any woodies, for people that have ridden both, which is beter, Raging Bull or Apollo's Chariot?
Well i've never been to PKD but ill probably be going this year! I can't wait
