BGW 7-5 Part 1-4

Associated parks:
None

Well, the trip me and my friends finally planned was upon us. We actually drove all through the 4th from Michigan to Williamsburg to embark on our coaster trip. We arrive at the park that morning to see quite a bit of cars there, we were getting worried that it might be crowded but actually the crowds were pretty good.

As soon as we paid our tickets it was off to Apollo's Chariot. Like my previous reports Ill just give a short review of the rides to keep the TR at an minium.

Apollo Chariot: WoW..The drop was great and the hills produce alot of floating negative g's. I notice the drops are alot more forceful on here than on Raging Bull which is a good thing. The helix was pretty intense which added alot to the ride. That last drop took me by surprise. I really liked this ride, little did I know I would ride a much more superior B & M hyper which is later on in my TR's.

Alpengeist: Dayuum, this ride is freakin fast and pretty intense. The drop was pretty good going into the Immelman. The cobra roll is huge, cause the pictures and video Ive seen of the ride doesnt do it justice. The mid-course brakes were on hard on my first ride, but on my last ride it just breeze through, resulting in an great second half. Awesome coaster

BigBadWolf: Dayuum, this is my type of coaster. This ride had so much change of direction it wasnt funny. Ive ridden the Ninja and Iron Dragon and neither even comes close to this ride. And to think, this was the first successful suspended coaster after the Bat (I think)

LochNessMonster: I like this ride too. Big drop and the tunnel with the helix was pretty kewl. Thought the ride held back a little cause all of the trim brakes were on hard. Overall I still like it, it was fun.

Wild Maus: I was a little disappointed. It was fun, but the brakes were grabing so hard, at one point I didnt think we were going to make it through. It was fun, though.

Drachen Fire: Didnt ride of course, but the ride looked so lonely.

Escape from Pompeii: Didnt ride due to the long line and it was down for a while.

Overall impressions of the park blew me away. This park definitely is very clean and beautiful. The food was absolutely wonderful and the rides, well they speak for themself. The have lots of shows and attractions for everyone. O, did I say how clean/beautiful this park is?.. Busch Gardens Williamsburg is truely a world class park. Definitely, the highlight of my trip.

Glad you liked it. I've always enjoyed BGW also, except for the 4-hour drive from Baltimore. You shoud've have taken in Colonial Williamsburg while you were there also, although I hear it gets really crowded during the summer.
