On Friday, my friend and I purchased Summer Sizzler Passes as we planned on returning the following day. The crowds were the lightest I've ever seen them in the twenty times I've visited the park. Toward the end of the day, we rode the back seat of Alpengeist eight times without getting off! The wait for Apollo's Chariot was only 3 minutes to nothing for the back and front seats.
We only rode Loch Ness and Big Bad Wolf once a piece but got 15+ rides on AC and Alpengeist. BBW's restraints are becoming increasingly difficult for my 6'4" (almost) frame to get into.
I think I sat next to an enthusiast on Roman Rapids because he was alone and I saw him again on Saturday.
The lights on LNM were on in the tunnel which didn't make it quite as interesting as it could have been. It may just be me, but it seems as if this coaster is losing it's touch.
We had a moment of silence as we passed Drachen Fire's remains. The trains remain in storage. I wonder what they plan to do with them.
On Saturday, we realized how spolied we were the day before when the wait for AC Aplengeist and even Roman Rapids was almost an hour. BBW's lines were small however and we got plenty of rides on it. This is an amazing ride in the dark and the last drop is great in the back. It's underated if you ask me.
We rode Wilde Maus twice on Saturday which we didn't do at all on Friday. I love those turns at the top. I know PKD's Ricochet is supposed to be better so I'm greatly looking forward to that.
LNM's lights were off in the tunnel today which helped to make it a better ride.
Overall, a great way to kick off the year.
