BGT Questions, Please Help!

I'm probably going to BGT in two weeks. The last time I went there I was 5. I need a little help planning. So, here's some questions...
What has the longest line in the park?
What is the best day to go? A Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday?
What are some good non-coaster rides?

Gwazi. Do it early.

Thursday.

What are some good non-coaster rides?

Pheonix, Akbar. They've got a decent dolphin show if you're into that. I like Lory Landing too - it's always fun to have a bird land on your shoulder and take a crap. :)

Some other tidbits-
Ride Montu at least once in the front. That's where it shines.

If you decide to brave the infamous 10-minutes-to-load-one-train Gwazi for the front seat, I'd suggest Lion. It gives pretty good air.

I just came back from central fla and BGT was one of the parks I hit (trip reports upcoming). I would NOT go to BGT on a Saturday or Sunday. They have a promotion where locals essentially get a seasons pass for the price of a sigle admission, so the parks will be really crowded on the weekends. When I went (a Wednesday) the longest line was for Montu, but the slowest moving line was for Gwazi, due to the restraint checking procedures. I didnt ride many non-coasters, but they have a simulator (Akbars Adventures) that was pretty intense (it gave me a headache). They also have a looping starship (Phoenix). I dont remember too many other flats, but you must take a ride on the train. Not only does it give a view of the animals, you can get good pictures of Montu, Kumba and Rhino Rally.

Thanks Lifthill and 2Hostyl. If something comes up and I can't go on a Thursday, then what would be the best day to go? Also, tell me about this Fun Card Bronze. On the web site it says pay a one day admisson and come back all year. Does that mean if I pay the regulare one-day price, I get a season pass if I buy that? It seems confusing because it seems like BG would lose alot of money like that.

I'd pick the days in this order Thursday, Friday (expect longer lines in the evening to close), Sunday (the park will thin out in the late afternoon to close), and Saturday.

I don't know about the Fun Card. You can always call the park and ask...
Be careful if you're thinking of buying this Fun Card at BGT. The cheapest one covers only BGT through the end of this year minus some blackout days. They also have a more expensive version that also includes Sea World in Orlando. Check their web site for these and other options on the passes. Also, if you expect to go to several Busch parks over the next two years, BGW has a $199.99 pass that covers all the Busch parks through the end of 2002. I don't think that there are any similar two-year BG passes available for purchase at the Florida parks. *** This post was edited by merle on 3/26/2001. ***
The Fun Cards, to my knowledge, are available only to Florida residents. Or maybe it was a different promotion, but many FL parks offer residents deals during what qualifies as the off-season here (like now).
