BGT or Carowinds

If you can't go to BGT this summer AND next, you might want to wait til '05 since they'll be adding a new coaster then.

BGT is a cool park. However there is a ton of walking. The park isn't as nice as WBG but offers a cool experience. Montu and Kumba are great. I have never been to PC but my group and I had a great time at BGT. (I was there 2 weeks ago). Yes some of the ride ops are terrible, in particular Gwazi, Good ride bad ops. When they load the train they check all of the seat belts then they release the lap bars. (wast of time), It is sad stacking the trains while in a two train operation. But all in all it was a good park, very hot, very clean, and a Lot of walking.

BGT still has the skyride for transportation, but having only ONE station open on the (apparently re-tracked) train ride does make a bad situation worse because of the poor park layout. Why they haven't re-opened the station near Kumba is a mystery to me...I'm trying to get them to help the problem by adding a couple pathways ;)

We'll have to see what the park does about paths when the new coaster is finished...until then, it IS a LOT of walking, esp. in the FL heat and humidity. Doesn't help that beer dehydrates ya, either...;)
