BGT map from the 60's

I posted this because I was amazed at the attention to detail of this map from 40 years ago. Most park maps back then were very generic. Even this map looks better then what most parks put out for maps today.

As someone that spent his first 23 years in Tampa, this is very cool! I hated it when they got rid if that version of the Eagle. It's intresting to see that Stanleyville isn't there yet. I always thought that the original entrance was the gift shop (map item 24)

Pretty neat to see not only what the park looked like, but I would assume that the area the park is in now wasn't always so ugly and overdeveloped.

Just horrifying in every way.

We went there on a family trip in the 60's, i'll never forget the huge escalator (listed as "Stairway to the Stars") to the brewery tour. There was a pool at the base with penguins playing.

What's also fun is to see how much of the park is still the same. No free beer tho...
