BGT Construction!

Besides the already known construction of the Haunted Lighthouse, there is more construction going on.

In the parking lot (across the street from BGT), there is all sorts of digging going on. I'm wondering if they're going to move a facility (greenhouses) off BGT's main grounds over to the parking lot. This would free up more room for expansion. I'll take pics on Tuesday and post them.

You're going to post photos of dirt? For all we know, they're replacing a sewer line.

BGT announced everything they have in store for this year last week.

But on the flip side, it could be something in preperation for future years. I mean, how many endless posts and pics did we see here and on GTTP showing nothing but moving dirt prior to any sort of info about Top Thrill Dragster?

No matter what it ends up being, it is possibly postworthy for those who frequent BGT.

Jeff, what do you have against me? Did you possibly think that this may be for future projects at BGT? Did you think that maybe a future ride may go into BGT and open next year? Think it's possible at all?

I don't even know you, why should I have anything against you? Which part of what I said was personal?

Those greenhouses *do* take up considerable room, and if *future plans* needed some space over near the Wildlife area, it would make sense. Unfortunately, it really does seem that Busch has decided to MAKE money off their parks for the foreseeable future...(i.e., I don't *think* we're gonna get any real expansion in the next couple years).
Brett, THE pic is going up one day, I'm telling you. Bill, you know what I'm talking about too.

Pretty much everything I have ever posted on this site has been put down or bashed by you. I don't know why, but I wish it would stop considering you're the webmaster.

Again... which part of the above statement was a personal attack?

I don't think it's just that one thing. I think perhaps the culmination of all your responses to him. Personal attack? No. A little more edge than necessary? Definitely. He wasn't doing anything more than those people who started a new thread everytime someone put up another piece of TTD. It's not like he was submitting it for NEWS, you declined, and he started a thread ANYWAY. He was just taking note of something he saw the other day. Just because it happens outside of the midwest doesn't mean it's not interesting to people.

Then again, you may not care about my opinion. But I was answering a question posed by you.

Seriously Jeff, i agree. nothing stated was personal....

CsTrFrK - Please understand that people on this site are VERY picky when it comes to evidence. I remember back in 2001, i had heard from a security guard @ PKD that they would be getting a coaster for 2002. Nobody believed me, and everyone actually made fun of me for it...but sure enough, PKD got ricochet.

You just have to understand that while you may believe its something, the majority of people wont. If the simple thing that Jeff posted bothered you, then your taking things too seriously.

The statement was a personal attack because it was aimed at a specific person's posting and it carried with it the implication that the writer was silly for photographing what you perceived to be a pile of dirt rather than a sign of future construction. I too was bothered by the vibe I got when I read the response and realized that it came from the host of this site. Forgive me for sticking my nose into this situation, but the question was asked twice, so I thought I would offer my input for what it's worth.

Kind regards to all.

Greg

Coasterdude04, you posted back in 01 huh? Under what name? The current one you use hasn't been around before 02.

That said, we've both been around here for a while if you'll look. The fact is, it was a thread about potential expansion at BGT. I guess he figured it might be interesting to people who log onto this website for coasters OR things going on in places that HAVE coasters. Sue him.

I never said that it is going to be something. Nor did I say that I believe it's going to be something. I just simply stated the fact that there is digging going on and wonder what it's for...that's it.

FANBOYS!!!!! Now Shoo*! :) :)

Brett, I guess my only advice is: Don't sweat it. It's the same thing, again and again, and it's not gonna change. I just don't even bother with it anymore. Refer to my SBNO post, where I was blindly attacked, by thousands of Fanboys, that had NOTHING to do with it. I'm just suprised that hasn't happened here yet. I was called a stupid turd and everything else. And for what? Who knows, that's CBuzz for ya.

What the hell is that supposed to mean? Are you alleging some kind of bias toward Midwest parks? That, my friend, is personal, and utter nonsense.

gardener14: Nothing was implied at all. Posting photos of dirt doesn't tell us anything, it's not interesting to look at, and doesn't change any facts. I love BGT (and I can even overlook the poor operation of Gwazi), but dirt is dirt. The fact that some dirt has been moved isn't enhanced or made more exciting by posting photos of it.

But then again, this is the site where people went on for hundreds of posts about the growth of my grass in early 2000...
