Best-Phoenix
Worst-Thunderhawk at dorney

"One good thing about all this, with all this fresh air we're gonna sleep like babies"
Phoenix-A great town and a great coaster
I disagree, please explain how thunderhawk is poorly maintained.

Whizzer at SFGAm everytime I went this year, it was down at least part of the day
It may not ride as bad as some other coasters but the poor thing LOOKS like it's gonna collapse!

Giant Dipper in Santa Cruz has got to be one of the best maintained coasters existing. The worst I would say is the Demon at PGA

-------------
#1 Stealth-PGA
#2 Flashback-SFMM
#3 Whizzer-RIP PGA
#4 Mind Bender-WEM
#5 Drachen Fire-BGV
I think one of the best maintained coasters is Ghostrider, at Knott's Berry Farm.
Poor - Flashback(SFMM), Ninja(SFSTL), Screamin'Eagle(SFSTL), Mean Streak(CP)

Good - Thunderation(SDC), GASM(SFoG), Raven(HW)

I may get ripped on for saying this, but I think that disaster transport at cedar point is not well maintained.this ride has loads of special effects that have not worked in years.
The Idora Park Wildcat ;)

Actually, My vote would have to be for Rolling Thunder at SF Great Adventure.
Dustijn Hollon, Mean Streak is maintained fairly well. Mean Streak even has it own team of carpenters. It is the cars on Mean Streak that causes the problems...

Ride with full FORCE
Best: any of the woodies at Kennywood, the Beast
Worst: Rolling Thunder (even though I haven't ridden it)

Coasters...the best natural buzz available.
The worst is DEFFINATLY the Williams Grove Cyclone. The PTC's seats and lap bars are all duct taped together.
The train alnoe can take the award for the entire coaster. The lap bars even have tons of play until they catch. One of them doesn't lock properly and the op has to wiggle a goofy button on this one.

The lifthill track not only sways from left to right (like most old woodies do) but it also un even up and down making the cars feel like their teetering.

The first turnaround is slow almost to the point of the cars stopping. The track is pieced together on it with small scrap like sections. As the cars round this turn they do a funny shimmy.

The center of the ride was rebuilt a few years ago after part of it collapsed either from sow or a drunk drive (I forget which maybe it was both). The far turn around left out the loudest screack I ever hear a coaster give. As the car rattles around this turn you can see the track vibrating off the wood.

The station was rebuilt a few years ago but nothing was done to the transfer track. when the train is coming in the area that switches shakes to the point where it looks like it will derail the train. When the ride op release the manual lever brake somtimes the car just sits in the station and they have to push it out of the station.

The funny thing about this ride is for as bad as it is is still gives a decient ride. It's still the only coaster that scares me when I ride.

Not Too Shabby For A Summer
The track looks flawless on Mean Streak, besides the lack of oil.
Oneof the best is Big Dipper @SFO. Yeah the motor caught on fire but that was a dumb operator. The reason I think this coaster is one of the best maintained is its about 75yrs old and still rides great. Gotta be doing something right to keep a ride that long.

You sure do. Rebuilding it and replacing every piece of wood certainly did help.

Now if it was really well-maintained, it would have been back up a few days after it went down.

Well, I want to say Son of Beast. Whether or not it is the "best" maintained, I think it is done pretty well. Checking 7,000+ wooden ft. of wooden hypercoaster track is pretty overwhelming. I believe PKI does a good job nonetheless. It is the trains that make the ride rough, not the track.
Worst- Probably the Corkscrew at Michigan's Adventure, yuck. Paint job anybody?

Coasters- a little slice of heaven
Best - Gemini
Worst - Riverside Cyclone (even though its my number 3 wood coaster)

Worst: The Serpent at Americana in 1996. Paint was peeling off and there was cigarette butts on the ground at the bottom of the coaster.

The Best: The Beast at PKI. I give my props to the maintenance crew that inspects this ride every morning for 5 hours.
