Ok. I asked the best way to conquer PKD and Jeff suggested passing it by and going to BGW. As it turns out, my friend would prefer BGW, so whats the best plan of attack there?

The big decision is whether or not to join the mad rush to Apollo's Chariot when the park opens. It can be the way to get the shortest wait for a ride, but it has a problem since B&M hypers are slugs first thing in the morning. You will get a far better ride if you wait until it has warmed up. Otherwise, with the limited number of coasters it really isn't much of a problem to ride them all. Go for a front seat on Alpengeist unless the front row line is real long.
Don't skip the shows at BGW as they are the best north of Orlando. Also ride the sky ride across the valley where Nessie is located.

Conquer? Attack? I go to a park to have fun, not to do battle!

As a "flatlander", I strongly recommend VERY comfortable shoes.....and some thigh and calf exercises before going....man, the park's so hill-y....I guess that's what the rest of you refer to as "nice terrain"....nice for coasters, perhaps, not so good on my legs/feet....;)
P.S. The "Roman Rapids" is possibly the lamest excuse for a rapids ride anywhere....everything else is top-notch, esp. the food...yummy Busch parks....
